  • This is a fun tie and really fun to fish. This is one of my favorite attractor patterns that I use. I have recently had success catching brookies in mountain streams and lakes within Colorado with this fly. This stone fly pattern is tied on an AFF S402 (down-eye, 2x-long, round-bend streamer/nymph hook). Again, Allen Fly Fishing continues to create excellent hooks at an excellent price. Check them out at www.allenflyfishing.com. Creating different colors of the Prince Nymph is endless. Try using yellow, black, green, red and orange SLF Prism or Ice dubbing.

    Nickolas,
I use a Sony HD camera and tripod for all of my filming. I also use a blue background (either foam or poster board) to give a blank, but contrasting background. When I do my tying demonstrations at shops, I use this camera w/ the background as well as a TV/Monitor that is mounted to a tri-pod stand. I have had positive feedback from all of my demonstrations using this method. It give the viewer a clear and up close look at my techniques. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

I have a HDR-CX100. I bought this a few years ago. It would be considered one of the cheap (cost) today. You should be able to spend less than $600 and still get excellent quality videos.
