Hiking to Sam's Knob, Blue Ridge Parkway North Carolina

Sam's Knob is located off the Blue Ridge Parkway, in the Black Balsam area, at MP420. Sam's Knob is a mountain, at 6,045 feet in elevation that provides outstanding long range views of the surrounding Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains.
The hike up is great, and goes through a gorgeous meadow, and then up and along the side of Sam's Knob. One of our favorite hikes, and the views are incredible.
