I don't think it's crazy to say that SQ vs DZ was the best BO3 in seige history. Every map went 15 rounds and 2 players almost beat the BO3 kill record. Not to mention the insane amount of history and beef leading the matchup. Absolute banger.
It was thematic too. Brand new rivalry fighting for the dub, right down to Panba and Ambi scrapping to beat CTZN's Bo3 top kill count in the dying moments of the game.
That SSG vs M80 match was interesting. i watched the whole thing and SSG was up 6-3 on Bank and just let it slip. they had full control. they definitely locked in for map 2. clearly the better squad
SQ, DZ, and SSG seem like clearly the top 3 teams in NA right now. They were the top 3 in both round robin and playoffs, and so they're the top 3 seeds from NA at the major. There may be a sizable gap between SQ/DZ and SSG right now too.
3 months since your last vid?? Holy shit man, i definitely missed seeing your uploads. i watch every single one. Im an avid NA pro league follower and love when you cover it. I hope you cover the day to day updates for the Montreal Tournament
Can’t bottle a game if both teams look equally good. M80 bottled it against dz. They bottled against ssg as well. 3 rounds where it was literally set up for m80 to win, they somehow found a way to lose it
It's always hard to predict what will happen when teams transition from regional to international play, but NA and Brazil look like they're competing for best region on average.
They are currently in the top 16 for SI points, so it depends how many teams are able to pass them on points. And my understanding is that there are also LCQs for SI this year, so there's that opportunity too.
This summer, to qualify for EWC, Faze needed 44 rounds to beat Fluxo. For some reason, Faze seems to struggle to beat them. During stage 2, it took them the whole 15

Yeah I'd have to dig through the history books to find other great Bo3s to compare it to.
Dz vrs sq was such a great match
A banger through and through
Decided by one round! Great game. You have to wonder what it looks like with infinite OT.

Seeing CL4L win was just amazing. Pure cinema
Guy like me? Asleep and got to wake up to good news.
wow what a game for first place, neck and neck
45 rounds is crazy no matter what, but it was extra crazy between those 2 teams.
Been waiting for an upload from you
Had to do it for the fans
SQ bros we are officially BACK
congrats on supr watching your vid on stream
Did he watch the whole thing? I was in the stream intermittently but I wasn't there then.
@@highgroundatz I had the stream on in the background at work but I'm pretty sure he did
The only reason I knew he played it was Rexen asking about it in chat afterwards.
Overall a really good stage loved to see sq bounce back from last stage so fast
The SQ roster changes just weren't working for a while. +Canadian +Surf was huge.
@@highgroundatz surf is basically the njr of sq. The mailbox that hardbreaches and kills people he's a perfect fit
I woke up yesterday, opened youtube, clicked the playoffs stream and happened to catch the start of the final round of the DZ v Soniqs, wow my timing.
Were you pleased with the result?

@@highgroundatz disagree. SSG beat SQ and were up big against DZ and let it slip

3 weeks, not months. As for the major, we'll have to see how I'm feeling. Pretty likely I won't do daily vids but maybe a few for the event.
Dz bottle goes crazy
Bottle?

babe... wake up new vid from high ground dropped
Rise and shine
Good to see u upload again hg!!
Thank you
Bro did it
Had to do it
I genuinely don't think I've ever seen a t1 game go all 45 rounds the only one I can think of was in eu qualifier playoffs from stage one of last year
I feel like I've seen it before, but maybe I am just recalling some triple OTs, not necessarily max OTs.
I think na is looking really good as a whole especially sq and dz they seem to be in a league of their own
It's always hard to predict what will happen when teams transition from regional to international play, but NA and Brazil look like they're competing for best region on average.
@@highgroundatz 100% agreed
Since BLEED lost asia does that mean they didnt make SI or is there a way for them to get in?

@@highgroundatz yup
Damn, didn't realize they had a 44 round series.
so uh m80 are looking like they came out of tier 2....
LCQ run time!
I think M80 win make it to the major
How come?
