I honestly love Chester zoo me and my family always go there all the time there’s so many cool and cute animals there I pretty much know all there Names now and recently they got a new black Jaguar called inka and she’s beautiful napo is the male one he’s been there for years since I was younger and then a year ago two female tiger Cubs were born Raya and alif to dad dash and mum kasarna who is on secret life of the zoo herself when she was a Cub with her two brothers and i remember when they were just born too and they also have two snow leopards now too yashin and Nubra they have only been there since 25march tho the boy yashin is so much more confident and nubra is really shy and is most of the time In her bed
My biggest issue with this is they are rare but there’s no reintroduction program, they shouldn’t be kept in zoos unless long term there’s a program for introduction back to the wild
Until the threats in the wild are resolved, it would be pointless reintroducing them. Imagine spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on breeding up the zoo numbers only to have the reintroduction habitat destroyed by mining or the population hunted.
She’s had a baby and it’s so cute I saw it and it was so small I’ve got a pic of it on my phone they were just sat by each other
