You are very welcome John. Aren't you working at the Museum? How is that going?

It's not always addiction, sometimes it is PTSD.

HI Will, I think you are right as it relates to the main characters of this movie. I'm guessing that only someone with personal knowledge of PTSD would realize that. I wish you well.

There is a movie called "Buckaroo Banzai" with Peter Weller that has a a scene where he fires his SAA down opposite ends of a corridor while passing it behind his back between shots. Now I can do this trick, but I can't remember what it's called. I know it has a name because I saw it in an article about spinning by Phil Spangenberger back in the '80s, but I can't recall it for the life of me. Can you help?

Sorry Rambler, I can not help on the name. It sounds like a cool trick though. I think that a lot of advanced gun tricks do not have well known names.

Love watching your demo as well as analysis of Cort and his addiction.
My question is I am thinking about getting into gun spinning. What would you personally suggest as a good starter practice gun/prop to use to get my feet wet?

Western Stage Props sells an all aluminum pistol that seems to work.

Thank you My Friend, How are you?
I'm good. We moved to Ontario Oregon in July. Then I went on tour until mid Nov. Then I've been in and out until mid Dec. So I'm finally getting to know the new place.
This place has flat land and a few hillsides with trees and brush. We are going to put together a pumpkin patch type festival in the fall full of hands on attractions for younger children. plus some zip lines and slides, petting zoo and pig races. So I have spent the last couple weeks cutting down dead trees, and brush and burning them to clear the area. I have conquered the worst areas but still have a couple weeks to go. Then I can decide where to put stuff. Then I have to find some money to do it with.
We are having our first cold weather and snow right now.
How did you do with your frontier town this year?
Just today I was telling my wife some exciting Ward Wright Stories, then I saw your message.

this is such an underated channel! your skills are amazing! i live in the uk, so i cant get my hands on the real steel, but i just got a replica schofield, cant wait to get to know it, do you have any tips pertaining to the schofield in terms of spinning tricks? also would the mechanism that tilts forward the cylinder get in the way when fanning the hammer?
thanks again for making such awesome videos, much love from the wild westmidlands (hahaha)

      Howdy Tea,
I've never handled a Schofield so I would be guessing. You will have to be the expert on that gun.

You can't fan the hammer on a Schofield M3 the trigger / hammer action wont allow it, l know I've got 3 and tried it, so you need a Peacemaker ideally, or a Remington 1875 but they have a very large grip, if you have small to medium size hands you may struggle reversing and stooping it.
Luckily l have extra large hands and can manage the Remington, the Peacemake although having an unusually small grip l can manage too. But l wonder why they weren't as big as his pre1 1873 version, they all had large nicer to grip grips, though the guns were usually bigger in length barrel wise.

How about that left hand ace!!! Harod is my favorite character 🤣 He actually has a sad story, his father the Judge was a psychopath and played russian roulette between himself and Harod as a child, blew his brains out infront of him. Its implied his wife cheated on him too with a local farmer (Someone he would deem unworthy and lowly) He mentions twice "The Kid" (Leo) has hands of a farmer and he has farmers blood. I believe Harod researched enough to deduce The Kid was not his. Giving the Kid the option to drop out was probably the most compassion hes ever shown in decades. Shame, in a alternative universe it makes me wonder what would have happened if The Kid joined Harod's gang, and took the place of Court as the protege. 🤷‍♂
Id love to see your reaction to Buster Scruggs 🤣🤣🤣🤣
