The loser got the gamer-rage, he smashed the mouse on the table and batteries popped out, if the loser had any.
It's also possible that the mouse flown from table after the the rage.

Shreddern was using his not-so-high IQ to set up his 'watch the replay' comment by not using his mouse at the end. So it was just one more excuse.
Shredder obviously bound his f10 to his mmo mouse which is why he couldn't pause when the battery died. That's just good fundamentals.
The mouse battery didn't die, he took his hands off to type salt.

well, if you talk about it while it happens, that is simply narration, not prediction. for it to be prediction you have to talk about it before it happens.
The first game was so painful as a Protoss..First Flame could have won so easily if he had just expanded at any point.

Shreddern doesn't use wired mouses because the form of the plug leads to associations he hates. He also doesn't like to change batteries for the same reason (with emphasis on the + side of the battery)

Alternate hypothesis: he was playing on a laptop, so when the mouse battery ran out, he still had a trackpad to fall back on. Clicking stuff was still possible, but much slower and less responsive, making micro basically a lost cause.
Watched for the salt, liked for the detective work

The protosses were very outskilled. Cannonrushes can get you higher than you deserve :)

on top of putting smileys on during losses, i completely agree with you PiG! enjoying the “fighting game” is gonna include losing! afterall its 1v1 somehow has to lose. lots of folks compare sc2 to 3D chess but that same logic should be applied to everything
i learned cannon rush during brood war before anyone in my group of friends. it was glorious. the next like 4 lan matches everyone un-allied me(but left vision on so i dint expect it) and ganked my base lololol good times. a good friend of mine and i we would play 2v4 against lower skill lvl friends, he would go max supply zealot and i did corsair lolol. so bad but hilarious. we dominated

what ill do against a cannon rush is ill use 2 workers to follow the 2 enemy drones, then depending on the situation 2-3 to block the wall in spots and 3 drones for every cannon thats building
most of the time it works if its not florencio :D
So it would seem the key to a canon Rush is the skill of your opponent
Although unlikely, there is the possibility for the mouse to start acting up instead of just dying when low on battery. Like not moving as much as you tell it to, or teleporting around your screen. But quite doubtful that this was the case.

The problem for Shredder too is that his insults backfire after he lost. Calling someone a mentally disabled homosexual and then lose means you lost to someone who is mentally disabled (their sexuality is irrelevant).
well to be fair he only lost because his mouse went out of battery the moment he actually needed to do something that needs skill. Or so we are led to believe.
maybe the mouse was degraded before it totally died, but even so, he probably lost anyways being so upset lol
That's why i use a wired mouse. His batteries could have been really low and screwed his mouse up, but either way it doesn't matter, it's not an excuse he didn't play well and he was either bad or dumb for playing with low batteries.

*@PiG* I have a question. At the start of this vid FirstFlame is warping in several cannons, and Chaftain instructs his drones to attack the guns, instead of the pylon or the drone. I don't understand that choice; could you explain?
*_My reasoning :_* Since killing one pylon requires less damage than two cannons, I would always choose to attack the pylon first. Unpowered cannons -- no matter how many -- are harmless while a lone pylon is still effective as a mob spawner for the owner. Maybe I'm missing some information? Do drones do more damage to the cannons than the pylon?
Two reasons. The probe can place down more pylons with ease because they’re cheaper than the cannons.
More likely, it was just a mistake.

You laugh at shreddern. But imagine: you just got to second base with your buddy, hoping to get to first base, get denied and tossed out of second base, while your own backyard is getting probed hard. In the end you hope to turn colossus and get something done, but that too goes limp and you get turned stalker while a bunch of marines are barreling down your natural grounds.
This is not a pleasant experience in Starcraft!

I usually root against Zerg each time (in a ZvZ I hope that both lose), but when I see a cannon rush, I would even become a supporter of IdrA.
