I took my girlfriend to see this a few weeks ago in Houston, and I already want to go back and see it again. Alan Mingo Jr. (aka Sebastian) has an AMAZING voice. This video doesn't do it enough justice. Seeing this company's performance live is spectacular.
This looked amazing! Although, the flying effects for the mermaids looked like they were very uncomfortable and it was hard to sing. Other than that, it looked amazing!
I never got to see this on broadway but it just came to a local theater and I loved the way the tails are here rather than the ones that were directly behind them on broadway.
Jessica Grove still sounds amazing!! I remember when she played Dorothy in the Madison Square Garden Touring production of The Wizard of Oz (originally started at Papermill). She starred with Mickey Rooney as The Wizard plus 4 iconic actresses as The Wicked Witch (Roseanne Barr, Eartha Kitt, Liliane Motevecchi, and Joanne Worley)!!
I LOVE the new staging, is this version that will be touring? I saw that it will be coming to a theater near where I live and I hope it's this version, it looks terrific!!
I love the Broadway version, but I'm SO excited they're doing this version! I like the flying better than heelys, but I hope she doesn't sing that whole song in the air. I feel like it distracts from the story when overused.
The Bway production's costumes got bad reviews, but the Paper Mill's Under The Sea costumes look like Vegas costumes. And I think this was in the Bway production too but why does Eric have a ponytail?!? In the original he didn't... It doesn't add anything to the character.
Some bits yay, some bits nay... Not a fan of this Ariel, and I don't like the "flying ball gown with the hand movements of Ursula in the Bway production" look. I like Scuttle flying, it fits his character.
I don't get why Flounder isn't a kid :( I think I liked bits of both productions- these costumes are better but I think I like the heelys more (for part of your world at least) I also liked Kiss the Girl as a full ensemble number not just Sebastian and scuttle.
@@amandagrubbs3000 LOL this comment I made 6 years ago I'm DEAD. And yeah I think I was talking about the very end she sings the wrong lyric and makes a face at Eric like "omg what did I just say??" It's so fast but silly. Love little moments like that. Not sure why 19 year old me felt inclined to comment that though?
Holy shit -- that Sebastian's voice is CRAZY. He's awesome.
That Ursula looks like all my dreams come true. Seriously.
Feathersandploom I agree! That costume is AMAZING and she is really talented! :)
this looks...... so much better than the Broadway version......... wow kudos to the cast and crew
Hannah S This was the tweaked version that premiered overseas. Glad it came to America eventually.
Just how Ursula should be! A big ballsy belter! Broadway got this show SO wrong! This looks far better.
I kinda like in some scenes they are flying around the stage like the are swimming

This Ursula is probably the closest interpretation to the movie (singing wise) ive seen which is awesome.

Mitchell Kallner
I love the flying because the heelys were just silly

Alan Mingo Jr sounding fabulous!!!
He's come a long way I love his Lola 😍
the costumes are incredible!!!
I saw the original production on Broadway. This looks so much better.
Holy damn. The flying and swimming looks amazing.
The guy playing Sébastien is phenomenal
I never got to see this on broadway but it just came to a local theater and I loved the way the tails are here rather than the ones that were directly behind them on broadway.
this is gorgeous!
This is so accurate and well made!!
The bubbles in the play 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
why the director Glenn Casale has not done a Broadway show is beyond me. his work is AMAZING
this looks inCREDible
this is absolutely fantastic!

Her face at 2:55 made me laugh so hard!
ok this is AMAZING!!! i hope it comes yo to my hometown!
I JUST LOVE YOU BABY GIRL!!!
Awesome!! 😍😍😍
I need to see a paper mill play house show
I'm so mad! I never got to see this!
Wish I had been able to see this production! I saw the show on Broadway and was so terribly disappointed in the staging. But this looks fantastic!
This is touring after its run at papermill!!
How do you manage to find such talented actors, dancers, and singers?
it was just a queston and does she in this verson
hey if u could u post ursala's scene i would love to see her scenes and also see how she dies in the end
plus my favorite song the world above reprise please
Is Mr. Moesby Sebastian?
u mean like in the play and what i ment was i would love to see how they did it on this stage
So amazing! The cast has the best vocals, this production fits in with the broadway musical so well. Is this a broadway production?
I LOVE the new staging, is this version that will be touring? I saw that it will be coming to a theater near where I live and I hope it's this version, it looks terrific!!
Yes I was wondering to.It comes to my city next year! I'M SO EXCITED!
If Disney planes on reviving this on Broadway, it should be based on this production or the Japanese production.
I love the Broadway version, but I'm SO excited they're doing this version! I like the flying better than heelys, but I hope she doesn't sing that whole song in the air. I feel like it distracts from the story when overused.
Is that Nick Adams as Prince Eric?
Yes
Do you know who was Eric? He looks very familiar
I believe that it's Nick Adams
+Christian Roderos OMG of course!!! I saw him as Fiyero when the Wicked tour came to my city.. haha. Thanks!
Nick Adams?
Dorothy Gale = a mermaid? OMG, when she’s singing that she wants to be where the people are… she wants to be somewhere over the rainbow.
Ariel broke the shell and Triton and Ariel found out Ursula killed Ariel's Mom.
This looks better than 5th Ave.
At 3:24 I see Newsies and nearly scream
No offense to Broadway, but this looks better because of the Ariel & Triton “swimming” and also Scuttle flying
I think Heelys were better.

Children on stage are an expensive and logistical nightmare
ALERT. ARIEL BROKE CHARACTER.
How did she?
I think what the person meant by she sang the wrong lyrics near the end of the song part of your world. She said I could be instead of will be

hahahahaha
Colton, I know how she dies.
HATE! The Ursular costume.
She made that face cause she said the wrong lyric. She said "And I could be" instead of "And I WILL be." lol
Lol, I caught that too

look, a little mermaid not on heelies
