I always wished Hercules' foster parents were given more credit, I mean yeah Zeus and Hera are his birth parents and the king and queen of the gods, but these two found Hercules and took him and raised him as their own out of love. They were even the only ones that stood by him when others were ridiculing him for his super strength before he became famous
I think after Zeus and Hera found out where and what happened to Hercules, even though they were saddened that he was mortal
I think they were at least grateful that he was found and being raised by loving parents and that even if they couldn't raise him on Olympus
Hercules was at least safe and raised by a loving family and watch from a distance
if I recall correctly I think Hercules' human parents had a bit more of a prominent role in the Hercules animated show spin off where he was told to go to school while training to be a hero
In Greek mythology, Hades is aware of all the souls of the dead. Him not noticing Hercules soul is a tad unbelievable
My theory he went to the Field of Eursyism which Disney Hades had no control of that was Zeus domain apparently. The show touched on that.
Its a cartoon sherlock
@@darkknight2850 there’s still enough logical consistency in this film.We could only assume Disney Hades had that awareness, and him not noticing if he does have it is a pretty big plot hole, the likes of which I don’t think are in this movie.
I think I read somewhere that the Greeks (or Romans) believed infants and young children don't have souls and they don't get one until they hit puberty. Until they, they wear charms around their necks to ward off evil spirits that seek to inhabit "soulless" children.
Maybe Hades not noticing Hercules isn't dead is because there wasn't anything to look for.
He’s aware of Herc during the series.
Hercules' mortal parents are basically the Kents of disney. they raised him well.
True that, my friend.
What do you think was the inspiration for the character Superman?
I love his mortal parents in this. I personally wondered why they even outside at a time like this.
With their kindness, i wouldn't be surprised they decided to make a tour before the storm to be sure no one would be left out once it happens.
@@saibogu002love that’s a really nice thought
Maybe they had buried their own baby just a few minutes before finding Hercules?
@@minniemoe4797 doubt it cause the wife mentions they never had one.
@@minniemoe4797 no I don't think so, because she mentions praying to the gods for a child and assume Hercules was the answer
I’m glad he didn’t drank the last drop and still has strength. I felt bad for Zeus and Hera.
Yea everything' would have gone down
Yeah me too because in case if Zeus ever really do existed in our universe too don’t want to see him huge angered at all since he is the most powerful Olympus God of all time and hate it if he and his wife high queen Hera had any more god children they born like today had been robbed from the evil Titans or any other evil forces our there in all reality man if we see Zeus lunching some lighting we might get scared out of our skulls very much wouldn’t we right guys if you know what, I mean if that’s all right to say.

I would have been so sad.
True Disney nostalgia.
I remember being taken to the cinema to see this when i was 3 years old and i started crying when Zeus was screaming in anguish with the lightning flashing, we then had to leave 😂

Hera: Hercules! Oh No! (Crying) No!!!
Zeus: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Me: This is going to be happen in the future.
Hades was arguably the "best" god you could come across. There's barely any case where he messed with a mortal, and when he did, most of them had it coming. He did trick Persephone into marrying him but he truly loved her and was likely the only god faithful to their partner. Compared to the atrocities commited by Zeus, anything bad Hades might have done are minor slips.
"He did trick Persephone into marrying him"
Eh, that depends on the version of the story being told. In some versions, she marries him willingly.
@@blobbertmcblob4888 yea but at the end of the day at least he loved her despite whichever story it is and by greek mythology standards that's a rarity
Not to mention how chill he is in general. Heracles comes down to borrow his dog, but instead of being pissed he just lets him, as long as he doesn't harm the dog. He even lets him free Theseus, even after said Theseus was involved in a kidnapping attempt against his wife.
Yup hades is definitely a cool dude heck he hardly's cheat on his wife.

Just hold on to the kid, Panic!
As an adopted child who's now 30, I can say with confidence his adoptive parents are the best kind of people in the world. They needed more screen time honestly, Zeus and Hera being his parents had no bearing on who he would be as a person. God's in Greek mythology can be just as terrible as good (and frankly in the actual lore most of them were scum). His adoptive parents are the ones who raised a Hero. They instilled the principal of helping others into him. Again as an adopted child who's met my birth parents it's really easy to see where some of your personality comes from, Zeus in this universe is noble and caring, but Hercules still inherited some of his cockiness. Just glad they paid some tribute in this movie to the people who raised him. I don't have any relationship with my birth mother, when I hear the word Mom I see the woman who tucked me in every night and loved me almost unconditionally. And Hercules saw that value too. As soon as he was handed the medallion that marked him as a God he was immediately excited knowing his actual parents were really important, then looked immediately guilty and assured his parents that he loved them and they were who he thought of as Mom and Dad. His adoptive mother wraps a shawl around his shoulders when he sets off to find out who he is. He never got rid of it. That's the mini cape he wears with his armor as a Hero. And there's a quick scene that shows when he became famous and rich he built his parents modest little home into a mansion.
0:28 never gets old how they popped their eyes out 🤣🤣
I sense Zeus's rage of thunder across the skys now.
0:05 I love that movie
1:54 if, if is good
that line never gets old
All things considered, the villains should have easily won in this movie.
Even after Pain & Panic failed to kill baby Hercules, they only added to the problems by keeping the truth from Hades as long as they did. The opportunities to strike were still there for several years before Hercules went to Phil and learned to control his strength.
And then Hades fumbling on both his seemingly one sided deals with Hercules just makes their defeat look even worse.
Hades is an ill tempered boss who treats his bumbling goons like crap, if Pain and Panic told him that they screwed up killing a baby he was going to be pissed. Of course, he found out anyway and wasn't pleased they lied to him, so it was a no-win scenario.
Fun fact: The baby noises Hercules makes are recycled from Kate Read from the PBS Kids show, Arthur
0:53 Last drop fails. Hercules still have immortal with him
1:28 Hercules: This is for turning e mortal!
