  • A beginner’s guide to Dungeonmans detailing all the information how to get started playing the game.
Dungeonmans is an epic roguelike adventure inspired by classic RPGs and dungeon crawlers. Create a unique champion and enjoy dozens of hours of tactical combat, deep character customization, and exploration of a world that is randomly-generated each time you play.
As a fresh graduate of the Dungeonmans Academy, your custom avatar will venture forth into the world, delving into dungeons, crypts, graveyards, swamps, temples, towers, and beyond. Destroy hordes of monsters, collect loot, and build your character with a selection of over 60 skills and hundreds of items. A flexible classless skill system gives you total freedom and countless ways to play. And while each hero has but one life, you will discover and collect relics, items, and knowledge that can be passed on to future characters through the Academy system.

You can use the num pad to move around, so diagonal movement is easy. You can also use the classic hack/nethack movement keys (h,j,k,l,b,n,y,u) if you're old school.

Oh shit, this is useful. If you guys read one comment read this one. Any tips on an easier way to use target-able abilities? My biggest problem with the keyboard movement was having to move my hand off to the mouse to accurately choose the correct target for my abilities (I know you can auto-target by double clicking the ability).

Shrankar Gaming You can use those same movement keys to select a target for your ability. So if you're going to fire an arrow, hit F to bring up the target selector, use the movement keys to pick your target, then hit the enter key on the num pad to fire. Easy peasy.

I checked the comments to see if anyone mentioned this. The mouse movement was really bothering me :p
      Helpful video overall though, thanks!

I have a question, if I may. :) I can't figure out how to use the Look
Around function (bound to T key). I guess it has something to do with
looking around (I'm a genius, I know), but it doesn't seem to move the
look even if I use arrow keys after pressing T. It's a bit of an issue
for me, as if I can't move the screen, I can't use max range on my bow
in certain directions, and that's bit of a drag.

Now I don't mean to pick on your speech patterns but you seemed to be mispronouncing "STREMF"

tried this game and loved it, it's just so addicting. No it doesn't have the best graphics but that's fine, it has the mechanics. To move it's much easier to use you Number Keypad IMO, can move diagonally easily and the enter button is right there, and #5 key seems to be an easy dodge or a block as a move?!?

Is there a way to win the game like defeat a special enemy or something like that. Or is it just sandbox ?

I would consider it to be like Diablo 3, where end game is to get the best gear and do the hardest content. By definition it is a sandbox game, as there is no point in which the game says "You Win." But, I would say a good end game goal would be to clear the hardest dungeon; the Dread Spire.
