In the end the remote was a really good thing for him. He lived his worst remorses but then had the chance to make it right.

Crazy sense of dress, time traveling abilities, and bigger on the inside architecture. Sounds like Morty is a Time Lord.

I thought the exact same thing. Workaholic, who is obsessed with climbing the corporate ladder gains a cool power. This power seems great at first until it begins to ruin their life. Buy the end of the movie they realize that what they truly wanted in life was right in front of them all along
When I first saw the movie, I was thinking, "why can't he go to Radio Shack or to Best Buy to buy a universal remote? What makes him think that Bed Bath & Beyond would have any?" Of course, that was before Amazon was as big as it is now and back when there were a lot more brick-and-mortar stores open, including Radio Shack, which is now either out of business or has very few stores left.
So rick invented this remote (based on the time reset button) and passed it to Morty... as he got older and Rick disappeared again, he decided to use it to teach people how to enjoy life; He didn't want people to be morally like his own grandfather.
This morty even have the same hairstyle 😂

Such a great movie! Considering it is an Adam Sandler film, going into this I did not expect the raw emotions this would bring out of me.
Disney Star Wars didn't even bring an ounce of emotion from me. Well if you want to count confusion as an emotional response, then I suppose it pulled something from me.

Wondered why this scene felt so awkward, then I finally realized it. They filmed Walken and Sandler at completely different times, the only time they're in the same frame, Morty's back is to the camera. It's a double in a lab-coat and a wig.
@bwarrent Yes, there is allot of the camera going back and forth as they both speak and when we see them together on screen there backs are turned and are two far away from the screen. We don't have close up of them together entering or leaving the backroom to the store, hmm...
