There are so many dirty/adult jokes in this film that I missed as a kid that make it funnier as an adult.
@@jessetorres8738 man it truly does, it was a funny movie then, it is a funny movie now
@callmecpariss you should also post a video of you reacting to chicken little and finding nemo and a bug's life and monsters inc films.
Such a lovable and real adoring, luscious 😮 moments.
Can we talk about how great the dad is? When his son wants to leave home, he buys him the ticket. When his son fails and comes home, he doesn't shame him as a failure, but understands some things don't work out the way you planned.
Take notes, parents, for when your kids are adults.
"You always believed in me."
"From the moment you were born".
I mean, seriously. How many of us grew up wanting a dad like that?
It’s because times change, and it isn’t Rodney’s fault
Why is Ratchet just Starscream in a suit? 😆
14:54 It's more funny when one realizes the MC is Obi-wan. xD
This came out the same year that Michael Eisner resigned from Disney, and I always saw this movie as a critique of his later years running that company. Bigweld does seem to be modeled after Walt Disney, and Eisner came to be seen as a soulless corporate villain like Ratchet.
After Walt Disney passed they all turned into corporate a holes..
Iger is even worse.
Iger is worse than Eisner.
@@ThePixarDude I'm gonna break it to ya buddy. Walt was one of the biggest corporate a holes
@@Regu269Really? I always thought it was his brother. Walt seemed to care more about people than money.
When I was a kid, the "Hit Me Baby One More Time" scene was the funniest shit I'd ever seen. Like I genuinely thought that was peak comedy. Still makes me laugh
That seen has me dying to this day
"Making the baby is the fun part."
Oh, the innuendos we all missed as kids...
The one that got me was Fender saying "You can bunk with me, Rodney. We'll just ignore the gossip."
34:19 one of the best scenes in cinematic history
I love how thought-out and fully realized this robot world is. I also love Ratchet and Madame Gasket and the "Underground" song scene. This was well worth the wait. Truly one of Blue Sky's best.
Bro is copy and pasting other peoples comments all you do?
6:46 In the background is a robot version of Sid the Sloth from Ice Age.
This movie was my childhood!! “Hit me baby one more time” will always be one of the most iconic scenes in animation
I still to this day live by the phrase "see a need fill a need", I love this movie and all its puns
I love this animation flick with great imagination of honesty and mature timeline. Robots are generated smart technology into human that blows minds. Great ensembles of cast members and especially RIP Robin Williams.
Fender: "You know Rodney, even if you know you had an disgorging day remember.
There is another one coming tomorrow!
You know my last roommate jumped out that window."
Oh my god, your face when you saw Aunt Fanny and the Britney Spears' moment was so funny
Underrated soundtrack! Of course Robin Williams headlined the cast but we get more actors who became huge!
Robots is a pretty inspiring film, if you ask me. By the way, did you see that robot version of Sid the sloth in the background at 6:45 to 6:47? A little Easter egg since it's the same studio, Blue Sky.
I'm convinced whenever Robin did voice acting the director would hit record take the longest lunch break and just let Robin riff
9/10
Tons Of Gags & A Good Message
Animated movies are usually pretty good but nothing that great to me. However, this one is a "keeper." It gets high marks for all the jokes in here, lots of which are adult-style but not sleazy or filled with sexual innuendos, although there are a few of those, enough to make this PG, not G. However, the vast amount of clever lines is the main attraction here.
Actually, the jokes come so hard and fast, it's hard to keep up with all of them. The visuals aren't gorgeous, as many modern-day animated films have become, but they are interesting. Not only is there a ton of gags to hear, but there are to see, too. You almost have to stop it frame-by-frame to see all the funny stuff penciled in the artwork.
The story couldn't be simpler but it manages you keep your attention and doesn't overstay it's welcome, although I think animated films are more effective it they don't go over 80 minutes. This one is closer to 90.
There is a good message in here, too. Maybe I'm mistaken but what I heard was the idea that just because people might be old, decaying and not as productive for society, it doesn't mean you have to discard them. Life has value and is precious from conception to dying of old age. Amen to that!
The amount of hidden adult Jokes this movie had especially when rewatching it again as an adult, is so surreal that this film could rival the other hidden adult jokes utilized in other animated films such as _Shrek._ Even I still understood Fender’s two nose inuendo (Showing and Blowing).
Even I'm impressed with not with the voice cast this film had you have Ewan McGregor, the late Robin Williams, Amanda Bynes, Halle Berry, Mel Brooks, Stanley Tucci, etc.
Thanks for the reaction CLARISS.😊
An unexpected but very pleasant surprise :) thanks for reacting to this movie! Mel Brooks as Bigweld was totally awesome. Also, you nailed it when you mentioned capitalism. I feel that the movie critiqued consumerism and the tendency that (especially) the tech world started to take in the early 2000s with an increasing focus on new standards that would promote big tech with little regard for the average consumer.
I remember having this movie on DVD, and thought it was fun for what it was. And might I just say it’s been years since Robin Williams passed away, and I still miss the comedy from this guy? 😅
Dang, i miss this movie... i swear that small gatekeeper and the villains of this show is basiclly what Disney have become these day.....they so focus on the money that old show can give, that they didnt see what new idea can give more to people to enjoy....
This was one of my childhood movies. Seeing you (my spirit animal) react to this is the cherry on top of an already perfect day!! 😊
I personally like the film. I think the message has a really good heart. Plus, I love Robin Williams no matter what he’s in.
Agreed! I’ll watch anything with Robin Williams.
But that’s not to say that he didn’t have his weaker movies too… Toys, Father’s Day, Bicentennial Man, Jack, Flubber. Those were his weaker movies
Oh my god me and my father LOVE robots, especially because we’re both big fans of Robin Williams
Still cant believe he voice a robot who basiclly a parody of Bender from Futurama
If in the animation with adult intelligent jokes and a great cast? My suggestion and vote goes with "Cloudy with the Chance of Meatballs."😂💕
Outside the US (least UK I know for sure) the aunt fanny joke got changed cuz well it don't mean arse here obviously 🤣. So I didn't see the US version till it came to Disney+ N I did a rewatch N was like WHAT 😶🤣
The movie was warning us about planned obsolescence in a comical way 😮
the fight between Wonderbot & Madame Gasket reminds me of the fight between Yoda & Count Dooku in Star Wars Attack of the Clones
6:47 I don't get it. Out of all the people who saw this movie, they are missing the one Easter egg with the dj robot scene, and I feel like I'm the only one who noticed it.
I saw it
1:02 Funny you mention that, as Doug Walker called Blue Sky "Diet DreamWorks" before they were bought by Disney.
Did he have to be Britney Spears against them for that moment? 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love Britney anyway
Mel Brooks as Big Weld was just too perfect.
Also if you like movies with nonstop puns.. Mel Brooks' Robin Hood Men in Tights. Highly recommend. The guy that plays in Princess Bride plays Robin Hood... his name escapes me but he's an underrated actor
Cary Elwes
@@jakeitnbakeitthank you❤ I knew his name started with a C I just couldn't remember his full name
Awesome reaction of my favorite animated movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊
I love the father and son relationship in this movie
God, I love this 34:20 part.😂
I loved watching this in Cartoon Network. It was so funny Fender dancing to Brittany Spears music 🤣🤣. I miss the old days.
There are so many dirty/adult jokes in this film that I missed as a kid that make it funnier as an adult.
Robots is a great movie.
YES ROBOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gah, I love this movie. ❤🎉
I don't know why but this reminds of the movie Repo: The Genetic Opera, where people have to pay for organ replacements due to a organ failure epidemic and they get hacked if they miss a payment. This makes me think of a potential sequel for that where organ replacement isn't enough anymore and the rates have gone up, so certain people have been secretly building prosthetics from whatever they can find(scrap/junk/whatever)and eventually that evolved into the 'Robots' civilization cos the robots needing spare parts and getting captured to go to the chop shop works the same way.
Also Rodney built WonderBot almost the same way his parents built him.(so....is WonderBot another person? Cos after the dishwashing gig doesn't pan out, he's just his own thing)
😂😂😂😅😅😂😂 34:19 Brittany Spears I'm Dead that part was funny Clariss
2:41 Dang, it's so strange seeing Meladandri's name in a film from before Illumination existed.
Granted, this is prolly why, when _Despicable Me_ came out, the trailer said it was "from the creators of _Ice Age",_ which, for the longest time, made me think it was a Blue Sky film.
YOU GOTTA WATCH BROTHER BEAR...That's it that's the sauce
I remember watching this movie in theaters with my class at the time in elementary school when I was a kid and we all thought it was one of the best movies we saw in our lives. Lol
6:45 You can actually see a robot that looks like Sid from Ice Age around here.
Who was it made for?
I liked Bugs Bunny when I was little. But as an adult I found the cartoons even funnier. The makers really did make them for themselves.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
Funniest line jn the whole movie is Robin's random "ow my onion!"
I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS AS A KID!
ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES!
Always enjoyed this one as just a fun wild ride in a pretty interesting setting.
34:35 if this didnt come out first i woulda thought it was fin from star wars
Congrats on your engagement CLARRIS.
Best rap music 🎶🎶 Right thurr 6:40
Robin's most hilarious work and if I remember right, he was 90% unscripted lol like a lot of the time, usually he's 70% making his own lines but this one most his, though his best work is doubtfire and jack
I mean he follows his lines but changes them and makes them better, other times goes way off script
Ahh I haven't seen it in years. I don't know how I forgot about aunt Fanny though 😂
I still wonder how she could have the same figure as Cappy 😂
I usually like robin williams charaftersz but ehhh. His character ruined the movie for me. Could not stand him at all.
It's ok to have a wrong opinion
39:11 And he'll none of him be missed!
In England, "Fanny" means vagina. To this day I'm not 100% sure if they knew that or not when working on that character.
Would it matter?
You better watch Horton! 😂
Fun fact. In UK English versions they had to change Aunt Fanny's name as in the UK "fanny" is slang for a certain female body part 🐱
I'm a Brit but I saw the US version first and was conFUSEd but luckily knew it was American for butt 😂
What’s her UK name?
@@callmeclariss I think they cut the audio out to Aunt Fan
I had robot on dvd as a kid
Did you say this movie had "adult innuendoes"? Doesn't that imply there are "child innuendos" somehow? 😂 😂
Jaws The Movie
You're Pretty!
The Directors said in the commentary for the deleted scene with Rodney fixing Fenders neck, there was some improve from Robin Williams it was hard for them to cut the scene
Tim always looked like a puppet to me. How small he is compared to Rodney, and the way he moves resembles a puppet.
The Crosstown Express is the world most deadliest roller coaster, and you won't catch me on that.
2:29 If only! 😅
i do enjoy this one, some of the jokes are a bit eh but robin williams carries a lot of it and the world is interesting
You should watch Godzilla 98
34:20 😂
THIS MOVIE IS SO COOL. ITS SO FUNNY AND WELL THOUGHT
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
Robin williams was a legendary actor there will never be another like him 😅
I love this movie and thank you for Reacting to my favorite movie all my birthday which was yesterday December6
And mine is today
This is practically similar to Disney Cars
18:32 Clarriss you missed the joke!
Aunt Fanny part got me 😂😂😂😂
I miss Robin Williams
I love the world building in this movie.
Same! 😁
It’s too bad Blue Sky went under and they no longer make movies
Went under is a strange way to say betrayed and destroyed
@@Evan-k what do you mean
I love this movie
Awesome ❤❤
Can you watch "Scrooge: A Christmas Carol"? That's a perfect christmas movie. I love it so much. And the songs are beautiful. 😊❤
Such an underrated movie in all honesty. It has a good message behind it that I think is lost in all these other movies they make today.
Bonus: One thing I can say about Robin Williams is every role he's had. He puts his all into it and you can really appreciate it even now. R.I.P. Robin Williams. You will never be forgotten and always be missed.
Yeah Robin Williams was the best next to Jim Carrey.
But that’s not to say that he had his weaker movies too… Toys, Father’s Day, Bicentennial Man, Jack, Flubber. Those were his weaker movies
Damn you are the most beautiful woman of all time
Lol calm down weirdo
This a great animated movie as well, there are many hidden jewels of animation that deserve recognition. This one in particular went below the radar and the message is a good one. Ten un buen día
can we just talk about how robots gave us the first and probably the only transgender character in any kid movie without raising any eyebrows😂
Nice reaction I still have the game of this on GameCube also I subscribed to your channel👍
🤖👍 While Disney/Pixar and Dreamworks Animation tend to get all the publicity, Blue Sky (which was 20th Century Fox's CGI animation department) put out at least 12 first-rate features during it's 14 year existence (2005-2019). In addition to this, I highly recommend "Rio" (2011), "Epic" (2012), "Ferdinand" (2017), "Spies In Disguise" (2019) and of course the whole "Ice Age" franchise. You're always a blast to watch.
