I can better that one... In the late 70's I was at my EX father in Laws house.. One of his neighbors was there talking to him about his new business.. He was building wood stoves and fhe said there will be one in Every home.... His name was Bobby Fisher........ Fishers wood stoves and the rest is history......
That's going to be a sweet home, make sure you sign a prenup before you get married, I watched my brother lose half his stuff, including things from his deceased father.
I've had a wood stove for over 20 years and always made sure I had the lit wood stove door shut before leaving the room because of a chance of sparks coming out of the stove that would start a fire. I've put a slab of slate on floor first before putting stove in. Some people put bricks on floor and walls where the stove is. Always started the fire with matches and never had a problem. I wouldn't chance it with your style of lighting a fire. Nice wood stove 👍 I had an Alagash stove that was made in Connecticut with 1/4 inch steel plate. Had it back in the 80's. Still working. 😊
Well done all around Timmy! It's so satisfying for the soul to get that wood stove fired up for the first time! The joy lies deep in the recesses of our dna, and I hope we humans never lose that connection!❤
Coolest set up I’ve ever seen. Not even comparable to any other truck/van campers I’ve seen on RUclips. You have a beautiful mobile log cabin. So awesome!
That type of stove pipe cap, plugs up real easy. You'll be able to tell when it happens. And it will,I changed mine to a different style.I have been burning wood for my sole heat for 45 years.
I use an old blaze king that used to heat my parents home when I was growing up. 12 to 14 hour burns without even trying and toasty warm. Got 23 hours the other day.
As a carpenter who also has lived in two houses that I completely gutted and remodeled, I understand the feeling of that first creature comfort of homeliness. I've made fire! Those windows are no joke too 👌
Came for the truck adventures, but learned a little bit more about house building than I would ever have thought. I'm inordinately proud of the wood stove working for some reason. Been catching up on previous videos, so I'm not deprived of truck life :)
Not sure I’ve ever really been as excited for someone to light their fireplace as I was for you sir. Blessed to have such a cozy vision and see come to light 🔥
I'm so happy for you Timmy! I'm scared of heights so this video made me nervous, But once you started the fire I was fine lol Your a hard worker and deserve everything you have. Be safe my friend
Wow, that stove is amazing. We burn a wood stove for heat all winter. We have electric heat and it is just way too expensive to run. Our stove is nothing compared to you stove. Your stove is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Awesome touch with the stove. I don't know how you're not scared of heights. I kept getting nervous when you and your friend were on the top deck. Be safe! 😊
Congratulations! Another milestone on the build! Can't wait to see what comes next! Living the dream! Your place is going to be stunning ...in fact, it already is!
Nice looking house. As a wood stove owner I have to say leaving the wood stove door open unattended is recipe for a house fire, as you never know when a log will pop and throw embers.
Instead of cable railing in the loft, do netting over the open space so you can lay out on the netting above the fire place and read a book. (Cover fireplace pipe with protective shield so you don’t lay up on it) 🔥
The wood stove is wonderful! “The hearth makes the home”, right? Congratulations ! I know you will enjoy many days (and nights) enjoying the crackling sound, the warmth and the colorful light of the flames provided by your wood stove. Enjoy.😊
I will be in school sadly I was hoping the stream was later the afternoon but i will watch the replay of it on the bus home. Have fun everyone and be safe
I bought a Blaze King woodstove 12 years ago when we first moved up here; it has been our primary heat source since then. We average 4 cords of wood a season ( September to late March / early April) and also use it for cooking on as well. It is a catalytic model same as your stove. It is worth every penny spent on it. We have not had to replace the catalyst yet, but could use a new thermostat gage as the original one is worn out paint and corrosion. I have one heat driven fan on the top and it keeps our home warm even at -60 below zero ... once the catalyst is active and burning hot you will not see any smoke as it will all be steam coming out. I clean the chimney once every two years since there is virtually no creosote bypassed.
Not to complain but I've been burning for 35 years. I never walk away and leave door open, just a habit. but you were right there. I have a Scott stove from North Idaho. Easy stove to light and burns all night. Yes Blaze King is the bomb.
Congratulations! 🎉 Beautiful stove and there’s just something special and homey in seeing the flames through the glass door. What a red-letter day for you! ❤
It's nice that you open your vlogs with hello everyone glad your here and start ending the vlogs with like share a subscribe and see ya in the next one you should do, loving the content tho
RE starting fires in wood stove. One thing I've done for years (and learned from my Dad who still does it). He uses sawdust shavings but I use white pine animal bedding soaked in diesel. I keep it in a small box nearby and a very small amount on some half ass kindling and send it with a torch .. fire going in 30 seconds. I know you already use a torch, but all you have to do is hit any area of it with a flame and then walk away. Makes it so quick and also keeps your kindling making time down as well, especially in dryer climates where you have dry wood.
4:35 That part is called the "Jib." It connects the furthest-extending boom to the basket. Not all lifts have jibs; some just have a direct-boom connection, but having one really improves placement and workflow (for close-up detail work, e.g. siding, polishing, painting, etc)
Wow, that is so awesome! Congratulations! You did it. I can only imagine how you feel. Your place is gonna look so sweet once youve done the inside. Lovin your videos.
I absolutely love my blaze king-best woodstove I have ever used in my 55 years of using wood stoves. I am 70 now , 8 degrees F outside and my stove is firing away and keeping me , the dogs and cats at a toasty 72
Timmy you have impressed us at every turn! I’ve been watching for years and even bought an OBS crew cab because of your channel. Now I guess I need a cabin. 😂
another podcast guy building a log home in northern Minnesota ... has a wood stove with glass in the door - he uses the ashes from inside the stove to clean the inside glass .... surprisingly cleans it well with a paper towel!
I had a Blaze King in my old house. Great stoves! The cat converter allows you to slow burn without building up excessive creosote. Just make sure to let it get up to temp before flipping the lever, otherwise the life span of the cat converter will get shortened, and they’re pretty expensive to repair.
Just a tip…. You should be heating up that SA (self adhesive) Rubber before laying it out then you GOTTA ROLL IT IN! JS! Btw I’m a crane operator for the oldest commercial roofing company in Michigan! Plus been here 14 years so kinda have a clue!! And you should 5” around that vent pipe!!
Holy Hannah I can't imagine cleaning that chimney! What a cool stove and a cool house! Pretty exciting! I'm glad you mentioned the stove can sit on anything because I was freaking out when I first saw that!
I am a Gen. construction Guy and I can see how much work you have done and how much is left but it is so rewarding good luck my friend it's going to be so nice in the end.
One thing I learned is that If the steel roof over lap seam runs under the book for the chimney or vent pipe in my case, the water will run down the seam and under, I had to chaulk the top side portion of the seam to get the water to stop dripping... Congrats!
You're making my night again! Live in Decatur, Ga. on a very rainy, and very windy, wind chill midnight...40 degrees. Feels like 32. Your vids just so mellow. Really relaxes me after a long day. keep it coming. Thank you!!
Blaze King is the best stove. Incredibly well built, smokeless as the secondary burns the smoke and does not release it into the air. I had one and it was a small one, but it was almost too much heat for my house in -30. Cannot go wrong with these units. That stove will heat your house for a full night no problems.
Wow amazing that wood stove is awesome and the view beautiful ❤great job my friend can’t wait till it’s all done. Looking forward to seeing your next video ❣️
Tim you are going to love your stove. I have been using the same model for six years it's awesome . Good luck love all the content you give. Was in Gird wood in 2014 loved it.great town.
Awesome video as always Timmy. Your cabin is so awesome congratulations on your brand new Blaze King wood stove a lot of warm fires to come in the cold Alaskan winters. Can't wait to see what other awesome plans you've got in mind for the rest of your cabin build.
Fun fact: Blaze King originates from my hometown of Penticton, BC.🇨🇦 Factory is still producing trusted products. 👍
awesome!
I can better that one... In the late 70's I was at my EX father in Laws house.. One of his neighbors was there talking to him about his new business.. Nice, I'm from Kelowna, cheers!
Fun fact: I was searching king of blazing and somehow ended up here and can’t stop watching
They are good, I have an Elmira from Ontario, I call a close second in their day , 20 years still going strong
That's going to be a sweet home, make sure you sign a prenup before you get married, I watched my brother lose half his stuff, including things from his deceased father.

I thought same thing one spark and house goes up in flames
I want to reiterate, he should put down some kind of stone hearth pad.
Not many things say home like a fire in the hearth! Love it!
Well done all around Timmy! It's so satisfying for the soul to get that wood stove fired up for the first time! The joy lies deep in the recesses of our dna, and I hope we humans never lose that connection!❤
dude this house build is awesome man, i hate to say it, but im jealous. your living the dream man
Coolest set up I’ve ever seen. Not even comparable to any other truck/van campers I’ve seen on RUclips. You have a beautiful mobile log cabin. So awesome!
It's a house bro
🤔🙄Ummm............this cabin doesnt have wheels on it, it's firmly and permanently planted on concrete.
@@FeelingPeculiar and it’s still on a truck? And still mobile? You guys are one stick short of retarded or what?
What a great feeling to have the place water tight and the fire place in and an excellent pad to hang out in. 👍🎉
Sure is!
I love to hear those magic words fire -it -up.

Go big or go home not every one gets to have there dream come true awlsome very nice ! great job
Not sure I’ve ever really been as excited for someone to light their fireplace as I was for you sir. Blessed to have such a cozy vision and see come to light 🔥
The excitement in your voice about the fire was so awesome especially since I get like that too.
haha
I'm so happy for you Timmy! I'm scared of heights so this video made me nervous, But once you started the fire I was fine lol Your a hard worker and deserve everything you have. Be safe my friend
Pretty crazy youre 1 dizzy spell from early retirement. That close to a very high roof ledge without strapped is insane lol
Wow, that stove is amazing. We burn a wood stove for heat all winter. We have electric heat and it is just way too expensive to run. Our stove is nothing compared to you stove. Your stove is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Wood stove it is the nicest way to keep your House warm ;) Great movie as usual;), Thanks. Cheers from Poland
Thanks:)

Are you gonna get a starlink setup for your house? I mean you got full coverage all over alaska with it. @@TruckHouseLife
Nice looking house. As a wood stove owner I have to say leaving the wood stove door open unattended is recipe for a house fire, as you never know when a log will pop and throw embers.
Timmy, you impress me. You are not afraid of hard work, and you have a great work ethic!

I will be in school sadly I was hoping the stream was later the afternoon but i will watch the replay of it on the bus home. Have fun everyone and be safe
Back at the ranch!!
I am glad I came upon your videos......a wonderful substitute for Myself Reliance who disappeared from the scene.

Love to see long/tall stove pipes in a house, all that warmth coming off of it instead of being wasted flowing in a short path outside.
I find myself closing my eyes during this episode. The heights are just too much!
Great Job on getting help to installed ur stove pipes. don't forget ur keys on the uper deck door.
Fire in the Hole! Longtime coming, the first fire. Great milestone!
I really love your videos! I don't go one day without watching them!
What a beautiful wood stove! 😊
Buddy I have been watch for a while. Love the content Buuut. Build yourself two or three tall sawhorses. Looks like fun Thanks
Comfy cozy! So glad that the fireplace install went so smoothly & no glitches!
Awesome house. Nothing like a fire in a stove. I would have built the house around a masonry stove with hydronic heat exchanger.
Not to complain but I've been burning for 35 years. I never walk away and leave door open, just a habit. but you were right there. I have a Scott stove from North Idaho. Easy stove to light and burns all night. Yes Blaze King is the bomb.
Nice stove that will keep the house nice and warm and thanks for sharing big hugs from MN
OMG the first fire! I am so excited for you! Thanks Matt for being an awesome friend to Tim. This is an epic moment in the house build. Kick ass!
Wow, that is looking awesome Tim, a cozy room with a fire stove to relax. Your cabin mansion is gradually coming together nicely!
Congratulations! 🎉 Beautiful stove and there’s just something special and homey in seeing the flames through the glass door. What a red-letter day for you! ❤
What a beautiful stove, fire and view of the mountains and trees. Stayin tune for finishing of ceiling, walls and floors.
FYI, with a good chimney fire that metalbestos pipe will be glowing neon orange, and that rubber roof seal will melt/burn.
It's nice that you open your vlogs with hello everyone glad your here and start ending the vlogs with like share a subscribe and see ya in the next one you should do, loving the content tho

That is gonna be an awesome place once it is done! Congrats on getting the first fire going.
Thanks!
Pretty cool! That’s gonna be a sweet looking home when you put the last picture frame up 🤙🏻

Number one the cameraman never dies, Timmy. Number two. If you don't hurry up and get those rails up, I'm going to have anxiety attack lol😂
Gonna be beautiful once you are done. The view is amazing
Dude this place looks sick! The wood stove and the spiral stair alone
It is beautiful!! You picked the perfect location for the wood stove!
We have an earth stove been burning wood for about 25 years Have to say that ash cleaner is definitely must have in all wood stoves 😊
