Makes me happy you discovered Maggie Rogers. She has a special place in my heart because at my old job, a customer recommended her to me after I resolved his issue on the music app I was working for. Somehow that one small interaction is making my traumatic experience at the job less of a bad memory and more of a fond one.

I love your flipthrough videos and I have been especially inspired by your travel journal and media journals to start an illustrated journal of my own. I've been keeping it steadily since January of this year and it's brought me so much joy! It's evolved into a place where I can practice drawing and hand lettering while documenting what I'm listening to/watching/reading and generally enjoying in life. It's also become a gratitude journal of sorts, though that wasn't the original intent. Thank you for your videos; I always look forward to them!

your journal flip throughs are always so interesting! i really like how this journal captured some introspective moments alongside curiosities. i personally find it hard to open up even to a personal diary but seeing the way you process and discuss your journal here is encouraging me to try more
omg i have the same issue of finding it difficult to open up to a diary. i really love the way she creates space for herself to do that tho especially through playing with different forms of expressions (e.g. colours, ephemera, pics)
right?! i agree in that i like this journal being a mishmash of other things and small thoughts; that way it doesn't become like The Heavy Emotions Journal and takes some of that stress away
I do have a Heavy Emotions journal (The Diarist) but I add stickers to make it fun haha. I realized I don't reach for it as much because it's too mentally draining to update; so even now I've switched it to become more of a similar approach to this A6 journal (which explains why I no longer will use a new A6 journal for the rest of the year)
Thank you! You can do it. Patience is key and definitely allow yourself to be comfortable to write / document, and it will take some time. Make it a habit too, I always tell people, because I've been doing this for years so it's second nature to me to write in a notebook

I am researching on how to make an art common place book. It might have to be digital because I want to include art that inspires me. My Kodak printer does the work no justice. I am looking forward to your critique on the Kodak printer. Maybe I am doing something wrong.
