4:15 the Oil slick rings you got there are spacers to have between the stem and headset, just like you thought it was, the packaging is probably repurposed packaging.

Any time you put something together, use a little grease or even better anti-seize if the components are of different types of metal. What can happen with for example steel and aluminum are in contact, you can develop dissimilar metal corrosion. That can then essentially cause the two metals to literally fuse together.
Yeah I should of greased that volt a little before inserting into the aluminum. I normally do pedals like that but completely forgot. Thanks John good looking out man
RF Chester s stick insanely well to your shoes. First time I rode with them I almost fell over when I stopped because my foot was stuck to the pedal. As far as the envelope that the parts came in, I think it is an up cycle kind of thing.

a couple year ago shimano came up with a solution for those type of bikes, the shimano hone groupset (pre-ZEE), and the first saint had the rear derailleur bolt to the rear hub

I think that you might need to get a hanger extension to get that bike shifting properly. Also any plans to put an air shock on the back, I think xfusion makes a decent one. Awesome work and looking forward to all the upcoming builds.

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS this one in specific is super easy to install. The non lite version you have to thread the steerer tube of your fork. With this one it comes with a long bolt that you screw into you existing star nut through the top cap. You hammer it in until the top of the bolt sits flush with the top cap. Then u take out the bolt and top cap, drop in the shell, bolt it in, click in the tool and you are good to go. It will sit on the top side of the steerer tube making easy to access. Fanatik bike does a great job explaining it and how it works in their most recent RUclips video

I'm almost certain those nukeproof bars are aluminum. I have the horizon bars as well, and they're so light and stiff its easy to mistake them for carbon.

Just saying, when you went smallest to smallest cog, that is actually bad for the chain. It is called cross chaining, Its the same if you go biggest to biggest. It can also make the gears make clicking noises.
Yeah we don't intend to ride the bike like this so it wont hurt the chain. Now you would be correct if we were putting it under a load, but we are waiting on a 1X for it. We might need a longer chain and I'm thinking about having Jeremiah put a small hanger extension on there as well. Thanks man

Do you lube up your chain when you change parts on the bikes? I find it's easier to tune the shifting with a freshly lubed chain. Probably a silly question but hey, maybe it'll help.

@Berserker Nick I think it's a little of both. I told Jeremiah to put one of those little extensions that we have on there and to put a link or two on the chain, but he wanted to wait until we change the crankset out to a 1X. Thanks bud
10:45 it's a rebranded Formula Hubs, Bontrager does this too. looks like a Formula hubs DHG-150 rear hub. the bad thing is you need a specific tool to open the freehub up, to grease and clean, I had this hub on my 2014 Trek fuel ex after about 70km I think it was the freehhub got horrible play. the hub was not even greased I took a look behind the seal, so mechanism had almost no or no grease at all. www.formulahubs.com/product.php?t=3 photo album: flic.kr/s/aHskLEhcpS

It is a 10 speed chain. The chain we used is the chain that came with the groupset, but it is a little short and I'm thinking maybe adding a small hanger extension. Thanks man👍

you destroyed the envelope, I always make sure to open them up the proper way, and then keep them reuse them. no need to tear it. these amazon envelopes are easy to open. I reuse the bags to send bike parts i sell.
Well they would have to b tubeless rated, tubeless tires have a thicker sidewall and usually a thicker compound. So you could use one for a tubeless possibly but as soon as it gets punctured it would all be over. Not to mention a tubeless rim.

You should get a one up edc lite tool. It’s a mini multi tool that gets stored inside your steerer tube
Seen that, options arent bad but does ot come up from the bottom of the fork or the top stem? I've seen both types

@Berserker Nick I think it's a little of both. I told Jeremiah to put one of those little extensions that we have on there and to put a link or two on the chain, but he wanted to wait until we change the crankset out to a 1X. Thanks bud

10:45 it's a rebranded Formula Hubs, Bontrager does this too. looks like a Formula hubs DHG-150 rear hub. the bad thing is you need a specific tool to open the freehub up, to grease and clean, I had this hub on my 2014 Trek fuel ex after about 70km I think it was the freehhub got horrible play. the hub was not even greased I took a look behind the seal, so mechanism had almost no or no grease at all.

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I know superB has the tool, and for removal of freehub it needs 11 hex you get a free 11mm but if u get a new freehub, but 11 hex key is easy to get.
You might need a 10 speed chain. A 7 speed chain will be too big/thick for the gears in the back. Shifting will be sloppy.
It is a 10 speed chain. The chain we used is the chain that came with the groupset, but it is a little short and I'm thinking maybe adding a small hanger extension. Thanks man👍
When u installed the new cassette did you have to do anything to the rear axle? Or did it fit right in place?
Now considering we got a new rim altogether in order to run the cssette, the answer is no. Did not have to do a thing to the axle:) Thanks man! GET YOU ONE!!

Hey brother, we have changed the rear wheel for the LTWOO but as far as the front goes it came with a threaded axle.
you destroyed the envelope, I always make sure to open them up the proper way, and then keep them reuse them. no need to tear it. these amazon envelopes are easy to open. I reuse the bags to send bike parts i sell.

can fat tires not be used like a regular tire? Tubeless?
Well they would have to b tubeless rated, tubeless tires have a thicker sidewall and usually a thicker compound. So you could use one for a tubeless possibly but as soon as it gets punctured it would all be over. Not to mention a tubeless rim.
