I realized that shrinkage is honestly a blessing when it comes to long lengths. I'm in the longhair subreddit and most people there have type 1 and 2 hair and since it doesn't shrink or barely shrinks if it's 2, it gets everywhere. Like it gets caught on things. If they sit down, they can sit on it. And when detangling/brushing they have to really stretch their arms super far but we don't have to since it shrinks. They also usually wear their hair up since it rubs on everything which causes breakage, and they only really have the option of bunning or braids into a bun. But we have so many. We can stretch it when we want to show our length on occasion and don't have to worry about keeping it off our shoulders since it shrinks up but just gets bigger and bigger in volume as it gets longer and longer in length! I love our hair!
Exactly! And I love my type 4 hair because w/h my shrinkage I wouldn’t be able wear out my amazing fros, feel good and get so many compliments so shout out to shrinkage! 😂🎉😝
New subscriber. I am 71 yrs old. Have been natural since 2010 and fully enjoying the journey. Love your choice in music. Took me back to my childhood. BTW your hair is gorgeous!
I recently started to use more water when applying my leave in and by that i mean like my hair foams up a little when i apply my leave in and omg game changer. It left my hair so much more moisturized and defined it was insane. It's videos like this that encourage me to keep trying and give me goals to achieve when i do my own hair so tyy!
Establishing a proper routine for dry natural hair is essential to maintain moisture, promote hair health, and achieve desired styles. Here's a suggested routine for managing dry natural hair: 1. Cleansing: Use a sulfate-free shampoo or co-wash (conditioner wash) to cleanse your hair. This helps remove product buildup without stripping natural oils. Wash your hair as needed, which may vary depending on your hair type and lifestyle. 2. Conditioning: Apply a moisturizing conditioner to your hair. Choose a product that provides deep hydration and nourishment. Use a wide-tooth comb to detangle your hair while the conditioner is applied. Start from the tips and work your way up to the roots. 3. Deep Conditioning: Incorporate deep conditioning into your routine at least once a week. Choose a product with rich moisturizing ingredients. For added benefits, use a hooded dryer or a plastic cap to allow the deep conditioner to penetrate your hair shaft more effectively. 4. Leave-In Conditioner: Apply a leave-in conditioner to damp hair after washing and conditioning. This helps lock in moisture and provides additional hydration throughout the week. Focus on the ends and areas prone to dryness.
i noticed we're all concentrated on her hair but can we talk about her skin pls ,can you pls show us your skincare routine ps: your videos are amazing 💗💗
let's be honest sis, how long did it take you to complete your wash day? because i know the struggggggglleee of having to stand in the shower for 4 hours (minimum) just trying to detangle (spain without the s)
Thank you for the video😊😊 I have a brand suggestion. Do you think you could try out ominira naturals? I've always wanted to try them out. I hear good things about them and how it will benefit you in the long run.
I learned this trick from Fayeinthecity to put a plastic cap on for about 15 minutes after putting on your deep conditioner in the shower and it works wonders!
I feel like your routine is very low maintenance....which is great...Im just curious how you manage to wear out your hair for that long(if you do) and still have growth without half of your hair tangling and forming single strand knots
it does get tangled and single strand knots though but i stretch my hair daily when it’s out and sleep with a bonnet. that keeps the knots to a minimum.
mini twist Mini Twist MINI TWIST !!! my favorite and go to hairstyle after wash day! i have a mini twist tutorial up on my channel if you want to check it out! :)

let's be honest sis, how long did it take you to complete your wash day? because i know the struggggggglleee of having to stand in the shower for 4 hours (minimum) just trying to detangle (spain without the s)
about 2 hours in the shower. another 2 hours depending on the style. most of the time, styling takes more than that for me! :)
2nd vid and I’m in love 😍 I’m only 1 minute into this vid lol new Subbie
May i ask what mic u use 😮💨 video fire and audio quality top tier
a "rode" horse shoe mic and a "samsung" handheld little mic! :)
Am I the only one who thinks that the way you pronounce your name is so 💅🏾like, ✨GARSHeeeel✨,psa: your hair is chefs kiss 💋
i love this! thank you :)
Can we just talk about how beautiful you are??!!!!
i’m blushing !!! 🤭💗
Am I trippin or your hair grew since the last video ? 😮
it grew a bit for sure. 😳😅
When you’re styling, from the braids (with leave in). Is your hair damp before the blow dry or you redampen as needed before applying the shea butter
my hair is usually still a little damp. sometimes ill re-wet it if its too dry! :)
How do you prevent your skin from itching from being in the shower too long?
lol i never had that problem to solve. 😭
It’s the hot water not the duration, so turn the temp down a lil bit if it’s gonna be long
🤍🤍!!
❤️😚
Thank you for the video😊😊 I have a brand suggestion. Do you think you could try out ominira naturals? I've always wanted to try them out. I hear good things about them and how it will benefit you in the long run.
hi, i’ll look into it !
Do you do wash n gos? If so could you do a tutorial pls? Great video 🤎
honestly, I want to try it, but I’m terrified. these curls are going to need more than wet line gel to tame them down.
I learned this trick from Fayeinthecity to put a plastic cap on for about 15 minutes after putting on your deep conditioner in the shower and it works wonders!
I usually do but this time around I was on a time crunch.
Is your hair high or low porosity?
low porosity ! 🙈

@@GARSHELL how frequent do you wear it out...and which protective styles do you put on? Thanks for the reply btw
do you always blow-dry after washing or depends on your mood?
it depends on the style that I’m trying to achieve.
Don’t be ashamed…I do this too often
how do you prep/style your hair immediately after wash day?
mini twist
Mini Twist

my favorite and go to hairstyle after wash day! i have a mini twist tutorial up on my channel if you want to check it out! :)

So did you just let the hair dry in the towel?
not completely. i let the towel soak up the dripping water then do whatever i need to do on damp hair ! 💗
Do you have low porosity or high?
low porosity. 🧡
How long have you grown your hair for😢❤❤
allll my life ! 😊
Please what are u using on ur hair
everything i use is mentioned in the video! :)
Did anyone tell you that you sound so much like sza?
