He thinks that the way to help everyone is putting them in "cages" like he did with that one bird in the past, but of course the way he tries to do it was not the correct way and was very chaotic, he should probably work with Robin to find a way that they can find Order while they also find Harmony

As someone who is born and raised in a Roman Catholic household, I understand what Sunday was going through and why he believes so, he is a pastor or priest, someone who can instill hope and salvation for the people that confess for their "sins" to him. In reality, they just push onto their faults without them moving past them. They just let their human faults take over.
But I don't agree with the salvation of paradise he sought for, to create a world that free of suffering and human foley, a cage is but a cage, if he removes all of that suffering, then us humans won't know how to live with it, we'll still drown of our own suffering without external forces. We beget suffering as questioning and pondering the meaning of our existence, even we are in a glided cage.
Which is why Order isn't the path of salvation, it's tyranny. To force someone without their conscious choice, to prey on their misfortune under the banner of "harmonic salvation" and simply put it this way: indoctrination. The act of believing in a lie without question, robbing the beauty in creation- the ability to ponder the meaning of it all.
His name refers as the final day where God rest after the creation of everything: Does his named means that creating this paradise, would he lay bare under the banner of salvation he has created or was it to give himself a break from the darkness that plagued him. Sunday, the day where the sun comes beckoning. The day where it's at the brightest, and he was loved by The Family and the most arrogant in believing what he's doing is right: The morning star descends on the Garden and tempted others to astray.
P.S: I haven't finished the quest yet, but I wanted to share how I want to debunk Sunday's philosophy, and haven't played the video yet.

@@vietcuongnguyenle8530 Oh really? Then why Sunday gotten worked up over the arrogance and cowardice of humanity? Why is he so fixated in protecting people from their suffering and misery brought by external forces and determined by their self-worth? The more people are exploited by the strong, their own value, which in turn is their future, their own worth will be diminished over time.
If I misunderstood the quest line, then the video and the content would be pointless to talk about?
The natural rule is our ability to ponder the meaning of it all, our suffering, our joys and harmonious connection. All of it, is our human rule. He is simply stripping free will from us, yes our original sin for why the originators of humanity: Adam and Eve left there, because they violate that rule from God, because the knowledge and the will to make their own choices to live outside the garden. Even though God exiled them, which is why Penacony is the land of Exiles.

Its not surprising Penacony is clearly inspired by America and Harmony in its concept is the closest thing they have to christianity, they believe in helping and protecting the weak, selflessness and many other very traditionally christian values. But sunday in both his ideology and aesthetic (Grand Theater is the best example) screams Soviet Union
The soviets had similar goals to that of sunday. Take away your freedom and liberty of choice in exchange of building the utopia they see fit. The Architecture of the Grand Theater looks exactly like the Grandiose buildings made during the Soviet era, like the Supreme Soviet or the 7 sisters in moscow! And even the puppets dancing in baley positions (which was VERY popular in the soviet union and symbolism of times of troubles, baleys were for example played in most TV channels and radios for example when the Communist party tried to restore ORDER to the soviet union)
And generally speaking the whole aesthetic surrounding sunday screams Atomic heart (which is also inspired from 50s soviet aesthetic)

So meaning if you support Sunday's plan, then you won't try to think for yourself about it. Let's say about your comment, you still think about others, you though about the power of friendship and the darkness of it all, you're still pondering the suffering of it all, that means you still have free will; to think about others and their opinion on the matter.
So if you really support it, you shouldn't advocate your opinions on the matter, just follow his words and heed to them. That you still follow Sunday's philosophy and if he tells you that is your order is to die in the darkness, you'd do so without hesitation, because you are under the banner of Order. Everything is perfect as you believe it so. You're merely an indoctrinated puppet.

Another important thing that I would like to mention is the name of the very last quest you must complete in order to finish the Penacony story: "And on the Eighth Day..." Giving it this name was basically the only way for the writers to show that the protagonists defy the very essence of the Order's religious teachings and philosophy, which are, of course, based on the concepts and ideas we know from the Bible. Basically that means that our heroes defy Ena's - or God's - world order by making the holiest of all days obsolete and unnecessary, starting their new life on their - eighth - day and obtaining true freedom both for themselves and Penacony. While I think that the execution was done really well, as a Christian, I'm deeply disappointed that MiHoYo has become another company to treat everything related to God as something 100% evil and irredeemable. Even Persona 5 was rather subtle with its core idea, trying to empasize the fact that the deity we're fighting before the end of the game was the Gnosticism iteration of God. But there is basically no way to treat the Penacony story as something even remotely positive or at least neutral towards Christianity. As a gamer and someone who, I hope, is capable of admiring decent storytelling, I think that Shaoji did a really good job with Penacony. But, as a Christian, I feel nothing but disappointment. I was afraid of MiHoYo touching upon those topics the moment I started playing the game. And it happened way sooner than I had expected.

I've gotten used to these anime games constantly portraying Christianity as evil, Final fantasy does it as well. I think it might be a cultural or regional thing since Christianity isn't practiced as much in Eastern countries, so it's perverted and misconstrued in these types games.

I completely disagree with your interpretation and the idea that Star Rail is anti-Christianity. Sunday is explicitly stated to not be loyal to either Xipe/Harmony or Ena/Order. He is only using the power of the Aeons to achieve his own aims. To your point about the eighth day, it is Sunday that is trying to upset the existing order of seven days in a week in order to freeze time on the seventh day (Sunday). Sunday is a very clear Lucifer figure who attempts to position himself as a sort of "god" over the rest of humanity, and this is clearly framed in the story as wrong, leading him to be defeated by the protagonists. You can also view Sunday as someone who was very religious but ultimately lost faith, leading him to take matters into his own hands. If you're curious about that interpretation I recommend Luna Wilde's video on Sunday. Overall, Harmony represents modern Christianity, while Order represents ancient Christianity and/or heretical sects such as Gnosticism. The Order is stated to be "absorbed"/adapted into the Harmony and is never fully rejected. Robin is basically a Christian popstar/missionary, it is clearly shown that her goal is to spread the Harmony through her music. So overall I would say HSR is more pro-Christian than not.

  • @opalglass8101

The use of Christianity inspired themes put a sour taste in my mouth (as a Christian) only because when it was revealed, I kinda thought it was cast in a negative light. As a protestant, their is more freedom in our faith which is boiled down to Jesus is the only way, Jesus being the bridge between us and God, and that Jesus wants us to come to Him of our own free will. The only reason why I didn't riot was because the flavour of the representation was more Catholic than protestant. And how controlling Catholicism has been ober history I can see how it would resonate with the Order.

    • @opalglass8101
      @opalglass8101 4 месяца назад

@@GuyInHisOwnWorld From outside, it does seem pretty controlling. Maybe not as controlling as say Jehovah's Witnesses or the Mormons, but I've heard things that give me concern. Like how, if you stray, but then shape up again and rejoin, you're not accepted like you once were. And the whole Vatican thing and the libraries worth of church history that's sealed away.
I mean, protestantism is not perfect. Things waver between churches and denominations. Catholics killed protestants in the past and protestants killed catholics. A lot of protestant churches have strayed into the dangers of "the prosperity gospel", and some have turned into thinly veiled cults. But a lot of good protestant churches exist and all that comes to mind when I think of catholics is judgement, that catholics only seem to be Christian on Sundays, and the whole Praying to Mary, mother of Jesus instead of praying to Jesus! We should only pray to Jesus, not Mary. Nowhere in the standard, non-catholicised Bible does it say that Mary is the bridge between us and God or us and Jesus.
Catholicism is extremely regimented. And now its becoming more liberal, but that hasn't stopped the rules and traditions that actively works against the "love your neighbor as yourself" (being kind to those around you") or being the "salt of the world".
That doesn't mean I dislike anyone who is Catholic. J.R.R. Tolkien is my favourite author, and Father Brown is one of my favourite mystery series. But to someone from the outside, Catholicism seems controlling.
