Erica, I just have to say… you are a great teacher! I’ve watched your channel for few years and I love your teachings!
Yay! Thank you!
Great beginner granny square!! I’ve only ever straight stitched, with a couple tries of a triple and a double stitch. But was able to follow this tutorial easily! Now I’m planning to make my first baby blanket with this pattern!
Thank you for this tutorial. I was looking for a granny square design to use to make a Japanese Knot handbag and this is perfect. It is not a traditional GS pattern and does not have a bunch of open loopy holes. This will not be a lined handbag and this pattern will keep my items from falling out. In addition, you are a great instructor. I am new to crochet and your repetition and speed of directions are perfect.
That’s funny! I’m also learning crochet (my first day) and also making that same kind of bag, another project. I didn’t think of combining them! My bag is going to be sewn. I’m using thrifted madras plaid fabric from deconstructed clothing, and some kind of lining, so it will be reversible. I’m learning crochet because my adult daughter does crochet, and I got jealous, lol! I already knit, embroider, cross-stitch, sew, etc. but never learned crochet. Ultimately, I want to make doilies and trim, and maybe some stuffies, scrunchies, and wearables.
Thank you! Ive been doing crochet for about a month and assuming you know how to chain, double and triple crochet, your clear instructions make this an incredibly fun thing to try. This was my 2nd granny square type that ive tried, and while the first one was not great, attempt number 2 was a keeper.
This is so pretty! I'm a novice at this but managed to do it!! I made a daisy granny square! thank you!! xx
My first ever granny square and it was so easy! Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Wow this daisy granny squat is so beautiful and so easy to crochet I just love it Iv just completed one thanyou so much for sharing this beautiful daisy granny squat squat I’m going to make a blanket 🩷🩷 xx
I'm an absolute beginner when it comes to crochet and I came across your channel today only and boom it's easier to learn by how you explain. I hope you do sunflower Granny square in near future. Lots of love and thank you for making learning crochet easier. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
this is such a nice tutorial, my granny square turned out so cute
I just completed my first granny square! Thank you so much. I did notice that while doing the corners for the 3TR and chain 2 and another 3TR, the video says to do it in the next space vs the same space. This messed me up the first time but I went back and realized. Otherwise this was a great tutorial!
yessss Im currently atp and I got sooo confused
Thank you! This was my first granny square ❤I’m so excited to try out other projects you may have!

Thank you very much for the video and the clear and straightforward explanations.
I have to questions. A) what is the needle size (in mm)?
B) for a 1,5X2 m blanket how many threads of each colour will I approximately need?
Thanks in advance

I also try crochet projects and make videos 📸
It's fun to crochet and calm yourself ❤
Hi Erica. In the background of the video, the granny squared blanket with the pillow. I love the granny squared striping around the squares. Would you have a video on how to make it?
Cute
Blessings 🙏🏾💞 and crocheting 👋🏾🧶
Is there a free written pattern?
@Creativecreations-f4s when I cant find a written i make my own. Following with the video and typing it up on my computer I don't share it for obvious reasons haven't made this one yet. It's just easier for me ok I want to make this and I'm faster than the video so I go to my notes and find the one I want.
She writes the pattern at the top as she goes along
Hey, not sure if you’ve gotten the written pattern yet but I just wrote it out a few minutes ago…

@@Maxine_Mayfield21Max-io8ob oooo even better - thanks....I starting writing it last night copying from her channel...but then fell asleep half way through 😴💤 😆
hiii, how many of these do you think will make a crop top?? they are smaller than i thought but so pretty!!
Thank you so much. Amazing tutorial. One thing I'm not sure about is when you weave your tail end in at the centre of your daisy the hole seems to close easily. Mine doesn't! it gets stuck. Please can you tell me what I'm doing wrong! Thank you
i love this
\
hi! ive made my first daisy square, but id like to add one more round of the blue (in my case, pink) to make a thicker border. how would i do that?
@@SerenaVelovski98 I wanted this too! What I did was the same as the first one. In the sides I did double crochets but there will be an additional spot and the three trebles chain two then the trebles again. Three set of three double crochets them the corner. And so on.
@@brookecarver7you answered my question as well, thanks!!!
LOVE THIS! I am a beginner crocheter, and it seems that the center of my daisies keep getting bigger as I crochet…I have to pull them tight when I’m done. Am I doing something wrong? This doesn’t seem to happen for you?
@@ellenpeters1099 as long as you can fix it by the time your done you should be fine. Are doing it too loose?
Oh I just started my first square and had the same problem. I think I held the yarn loose that's why. The petals of the daisies also look extremely sloppy. Erica's looks like, yes that's crochet, mine looks like noodles held together magically.
Erica, how many skeins of each color if I was going to make a blanket for a full size bed?
Erica, when you finish a round and go into the top of the chain to tie off, do you cut that yarn off at that time, or so you weave that in?
Instead of using the four initial chains, can I use a magic ring? or does it change anything? thanks
Where do you get your yarn from?
❤
Hi , I would like to know why we do 3tc in the corners? If we do 2dc in the corners what will be the difference? Thanks
I cant get my petals all the same size. And when i do, the outside becomes a bowl because my edge is too tight. Im not sure how to correct this 😭
My daughter says flip it over before you start the border color. I’m having the same problem. I just started crocheting yesterday and having the same issue. I’m assuming with practice we’ll improve our tension. I’m wildly loose and tight at times. Practice, I guess!
@mainerfreebird thank you so much! I'll give this a shot! I'm a month in right now and no one i know knows how to crochet so I'm struggling haha
How many skeins should I order for this project in each color, approximately?
Hi there, i was wondering if i want to make it bigger. How
do i start the next row? Thank you
Hi You'll want to slip stitch up to the corner and start another row the same way.
Where do you get the yarn you used for daisy granny square?
I got mine at www.pineycreekyarn.com
Can you use acrylic yarn instead of cotton
Yes, you sure can!
do we have to soa
Ended up with a gaping hole in the center. 😕 No me gusta eso... nada! I gotta fix that.
🥮🍂🧡
You shouldn't asume
❤
Where do you get the yarn that you used?
