i dunno if you are still trying to buy it, but the way i got past this is by going into settings, privacy and security, and scrolling down. in the "security" section, there should be a button saying something about apple not wanting to open scummVM because they cant check it. you can just click "press anyways" though

when i try to open scum it says "cant be opened beccause apple cannot ceck for its malicious software. it needs to be updated" how do i fix that
I’m not exactly sure, bc I haven’t heard of anyone encountering this problem. Usually there’s a place on the pop up where you can override this.
