- We take a trip up the Yukon River to go pike fishing, we catch plenty of fish and have a fish fry while standing barefoot in the Yukon River. This was one of the coolest trips we've ever taken. The weather was in the mid 80's and the sand was warm on our feet it was almost like we were on the beaches of Maui
No worries like your family hey momma you got a tribe God bless you all ❤😇
With all do respect I wish I was with you guy's because if there's anything that love so much it would be fishing , camping and hunting , i love the outdoors . This is one super channel .
I’m glad you like it, Alaska is an awesome place to live, but these summers are short and the leaves are turning, soon I’ll be moose hunting and then -30 isn’t far behind that
Living the dream, catch, clean & cook, and hunt.
Great video! Making memories for sure! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, it was an awesome trip
cool boats !
Great trip and some nice fish , props for fixing the motor
Nice sized pike.
Great video, we went up there fishing for the first time in July. I had been wanting to get up there for years.
Thank you, this also was my first trip it’s been on my list for yrs also
I am from Nepal watching your video very very nice
😎👍👍
I love pike fishing, love eating them too. Don't get to do it much due to where I live. 😞 That's one thing I'd love about living in Alaska, between the Pike and salmon, I'd be in heaven, throw in a moose hunt. 😉 👍
I’ll tell yeah what y’all got it made to live in such a beautiful place and get to go camp fishing and hunting when you want to
👍
I have a great pickeled pike receipe! Also, Pike are poorman's lobster if you filet them and steam the filets and serve with melted butter! You'll see what I mean!
We’ll give that a try
How many miles.. im assuming up river? Is your cabin?
So how far up the river did you have to go to that camping spot? My father in law and I want to do the same thing with our boats there.
About 45min you can camp across the Yukon from the river that you want to fish
Only an Alaskan could fix a catastrophic mechanical issue in the middle of nowhere. Teach them young.
that diagnosis and repair was so impressive lol
who did the top on your big boat. I have the same one and am looking to do a hard top as well. It looks good!
You have a weld craft? Mine is 28’. Myself and a couple of my friends built it one of my buddy’s is an electrician and was good with a pipe bender because of running conduit and my other buddy is a local welder. I can’t remember the name of the company I bought the windows from.
@@diyalaskanlifestyle I have a twin to your boat. Although I did pull the jet out and put on an extended transom with a 200hp outboard. I was told there were only 6 of the 28s made
That’s funny I saw your boat this summer at your dads house we were on our way back from homer and we stopped in kenai on our way home to look at some vintage sled parts. I talked to your dad about the boat he said you run the Yukon with it. I told your dad to tell you I still have my old frame if you wanted to modify and run your top to the back
@@diyalaskanlifestyle he did mention that, small world.
@9:06 that is a big fish
What was that one oddball fish?
Sheefish
@@diyalaskanlifestyle hmm that's one I never heard of before. What's it like and what is it close to because it looks carpish to me.
@@jimmieburleigh9549 it’s a white meat fish a lot of people fish for them I cooked this one that night and it was good but a little mushy by the skin. This was the first one I’ve caught
@@diyalaskanlifestyle 👍
Mid 80's in Alaska? Wut?
It was a warm summer up here and it really wasn’t that Smokey.
