- this was in may 2021. On one of my trips I found that they were removing the rails of the Eagle Mountain Railroad. for some reason they did not continue to launch until the beginning of the year 2023
I envy the fun you have, majestic scenery out in Gods country.
Better and cheaper than a boat, hardly anyone else out there. I hope there are plenty of abandoned tracks left to explore and have fun on.
A kids dream come true to be able to do this.
My heart is breaking mr. Archie - shows you the kind of world we live in today - it looks like scrappers or subcontract scrappers from somewhere - there are big allowances in ALL laws for recycling and in the right circumstances can be quite profitable - I love watching your adventures - what magic is it that draws us to the desert i just dont know, but being retired after a full lifetime of adventures (but now too old and beat up) and getting to enjoy yalls is quite a treat for an old fart like me, I have to say that little fox "boldly goes" when that throttle is down, I got such a kick when at speed there near the aquaduct at the crossing where that limerock was packed deep over the abandoned rails I knew it was too late to halt.... what I didnt think about was how high up on the embankment yall were and where it was - 😂😂 the co-pilot sure knew... yeeeehiaaaaaa!!!! ... whew !!!!! God bless yall for sharing your fun!!! Good health, long life, and mucho good adventures my friends!
Probably A & K Salvage out of Salt Lake City. They were the ones that were caught pulling up tracks north of Williams Arizona before the sale of the Grand Canyon Branch of the old Santa Fe was finalized. Now, the GCRY is its own private railway, fully restored, running passenger trains to the Grand Canyon daily.
Thats amazing.
Its also flabbergasting to think thats out in the middle of nowhere where at one time there were a whole buncha dudes out there on which you were actually right there rolling on what these hard as nails men gone and done built out in the middle of nowhere, right out in the desert.
What a beautiful surreal moment that had to have been that you actually gone and did.
And to me..
Thats the epitome of doing the ultra cool.
Thanks for sharing this!
Oh no 😢
We can only agree, it would be great for movies. The track is in great condition I would think because of the dry conditions but also because it would have had great maintenance when it was in use.
Please turn on the captions for us hearing impaired, thank you
Ok .yes yes
Yes, jostaiii. I need also subtitles. Deaf from Germany 😀👍
Man im so jealous!! I would get lost for days on the rails id make a lil sleeping cart 😅
Thank you for bringing us this very interesting video presentation which is very much appreciated. It is always a great pleasure for us to go on these journeys with you to Eagle Mountain.
In my country (UK) many railway lines were closed because they made no money, and the track taken up. Especially the smaller branch lines. But then railway enthusiasts realized that heritage railways could actually be financially viable, and now many have re-opened with steam trains carrying paying visitors.
This is fun but later no fun. Sad 😢 ! Greeting Ralf Zille (deaf) from Germany
We’re these rail on the north (111) side or on the south (86) side of the lake?
111 north. At Ferrun CA.
They went halfway to Blythe. For the old Kaiser Steel mine.
Bonito Little Fox, hermanos!! 🙏🏽🤗
i wish they didnt remove the old rails just like how we love to preserve steam engines we need to preserve the old railroads for future generations i hate how theyre doing this its s stupid it hurts that theyre destroying historical landmarks
its called recycling.
It will make a nice rail trail when the tracks are gone.
That's a bummer. I hate it when they tear up tracks, especially when there's nothing affecting the corridor for anything like development or new business. But it seems most railroad companies these days find every reason to terminate business rather than to promote it.
Beautiful - Just subscribed!
What a great fun ride that must be - wow!!
Unfortunately so does all good things from the past comes to an end. 😭 - That water canal crossing underneath the this rail line got me very curious. 🤔🤔 - Thanx for your great videos. Take care. 🇿🇦
I couldn't help but think to myself at the end, "Man, that little yellow cart would be great for a little conversion. Just strap a motor to it and call it a day." 😂
Brilliant as per usual.
Cool video 👍👍
These impressive railway tracks were difficult and costly to maintain in a desert environment with severe flash floods. The ideal should consist to transform these railways into "green ways" for pedestrians, bikes or horses, but these tracks were originately privately owned, used some military fields, and were long mistreated as many draining pipes were long washed with the complete substrate... Real bridges will remain, and probably most of the original path, but in a country where cars are mandatory for outdoor people and without proper public interest and funding, no doubt these videos are the only memory surviving these scenic railroads. Another historic site mistreated by some green bureaucrat in the name of renaturation?
Sir whoever told you that is full of s***. Desert tracks are some of the easiest tracks to maintain it's not like in a Wilderness environment where you have to worry about falling rocks and everything else in the mountains. You're almost on flat ground the only thing the tracks need to be cleaned regularly and that's the only thing that doesn't happen when there's no trains running. So again as far as I'm taking out track you should check with your local Senator or congressperson they're not supposed to touch a single railroad track in the United States right now all that s***'s been put on hold for over 10 years they can't touch anything during declared statements of war and we have been under declared articles of War since 2017 When Donald Trump signed those executive orders I'd be on the phone with the railway commission turning their ass the f*** in

They could be taking up the track as they don’t want a liability claim if someone is seriously injured on one of the carts
Poor Little Fox ... those grade crossings were just a bit too much. Did that rail line come near Palm Springs?
No. It used to mege right next to Salton Sea into the main line.
👍👍👍👍
Why do you blow horn when in middle of no where and crossing bridges, but not approaching crossings?
There are no regulations or codes or sanctions here, I think that's why I blow the horn. a railway greeting
Perhaps a few scenes in The Professionals (1966) were shot here.
🇳🇱👍👍👍👍👍👍💯🍀
More of these videos please
How heavy and how fast is your cart bro, And can you drive it anywhere????. Id love to pull up in town in a cool cart to buy groceries and supplies and then ride off into the sun set without getting into trouble
I wanna ride the railcar!!!
11:56😔
😮😮😮❤❤❤
Could you explain why the horn going a cross bridges?
I see all this rail tracks and bedding going to such waste. Could expand services throughout America that is needed. Instead of one mile long trains is insane. Plus, it would increase military shipments. In case of war plus infrastructure.
That's probably where brightline is going to start their new that's why they're removing those tracks
Hello sir where are you from❤
Hey it’s amazing how pretty the land scape is and one question as as dry as it looks we’re you scared of getting bit by snakes ?????
Triste 😢
:)
stop happyness
🥺
¿Por que las vías están como blancas?
8:05 Instalaciones eléctricas ¿para que están ahí?
8:09 ¿Es una casa?
8:16 Descarrilamiento.
Are you sure someone isn’t illegally taking those rails cause it sure looks like it
bad people! why do they break? After all, building is much more difficult! If they take it apart it will never be restored ((((
😢😢😢😢
Just don't remove the rails!
Yes!! All is gone!!!😪😪
😮💨😯😡
Please reinstall the railway.
Ladrones, verdad....!? Se las están robando....
Stay off that dam Horn !!!!!!!!!!
