5:49 I don't disagree with what Imane's saying, but when it comes to being more dominant in the bedroom, I think the guy is 100% in the right for wanting to discuss specifics beforehand. It's important to know where your partner's boundaries are so that you can avoid crossing them, and "being dominant" can take a lot of different forms, so it's good to know which of those your partner is actually into.
(To be fair to the girl as well, it can be frustrating when you want a guy to be dominant but he still needs specific instructions in the moment. At that point, you're essentially doing both ends of the job. Which, come to think of it, is another reason to have the discussion beforehand. Yay for BDSM negotiations.)

I think it was more about miscommunication when that original conversation happened, so they both remember it well but took different things from it. He probably worded it in a way that made her believe this is how he feels, and she didn't communicate how she felt about what he said.
