I couldn’t find him in any of the 3 locations, so I just started circling around all the buildings waiting for some kind of dog fight and sure enough I saw the Falcon being attacked by banshees. If it happens to you and you take too long like I did to find him just look for banshees attaking a falcon and you’ll see him.

For those that are playing on PC and need to evac: Press the down key (or it's the up key, I forgot), but press either one of them and a falcon will be delivered to you.

When doing the banshee skip, you don't need to wait until the whole map despawns, just the jetpacks right next to you. Hop out once they despawn and wait, it will boot you outside just as it does in the video and you can call for a new falcon. Additionally, it may be a little easier to get a banshee by flying to the very top of the Hospital tower as the banshees will have a larger area that they will fly over, and you don't have to worry about falling to your death.
I did this and it didn’t boot me out and I was trapped inside the last area with the banshee so had to restart the entire mission
For anyone who had to do the hospital last and may be struggling with the crouch jump, make sure the crouch settings are set to "Hold" and not "Toggle." Jump off the white top, hold crouch (and keep holding), feather the jetpack, try to hit it when your momentum is going up, and you should make it.
Alternatively, killing all the enemies isn't too hard to do if the crouch jump isn't working out for you.
Seems like the most difficult mission to walk us through. Great job though! It totally worked for me! :)
What do you use as a makeshift reticle?

Alternatively to the resume option in the hospital, if you leave the area on foot (do not leave in the Banshee, it dodges a crucial checkpoint!) the entire area will remain despawned and you can leave simply that way as well. Reason for no Banshee, the door that goes in and out of the hospital will not open, and it will completely softlock the run ;-;

I never had a clue about half of these side-missions. Reach really was Bungie's love-letter to the fans, they went totally out of their way to add content and value even in places nobody would have expected. Of course, the cameo from Buck and Alpha-Nine is my favorite, but it's cool how almost every run of this mission will be different.
I’d appreciate the Buck cameo a lot more if his side objective wasn’t so long lol

This one took a while for me, because of the following banshees and because I restarted a bunch of times to get the tower as my first main objective. I did try and get my objectives in the same order as in this video ( Tower > Hospital > Sinoviet ), but ended up having it being Tower > Sinoviet > Hospital, but after a good while, I'm finally done with it. Thank you eternally for these guides. It's saved a ton of what would've been headache, pain and lots of restarts! Onwards to The Package now
note to anyone in the future doing this mission, if you're being followed by a lot of banshees you can land on top of a building or fly nearby one and the banshees won't shoot (at least not as often)-this happens while being on foot as well * , then you can proceed to clear them all out without taking damage then keep doing the objectives.

I’m wanting to try LASO but what do you use as a makeshift reticle?
@@JaketheMovieGeek I jump into a custom game and grab a sniper rifle. Once I have the reticle on screen, I put a piece of scotch tape over the screen and then with a marker, trace the outline of the reticle.

I always have like 7 banshee following me the entire mission it’s making it a pain to do the side objectives

Thanks for your Reach LASO guide Silver, in particular this one. A mini guide for each side-mission must have taken a while to do so thanks! I ended up with the hospital as my last main objective, however I had no banshees left to do your trick! I tried respawning the falcon at different locations and flying around the map... nothing! So had to do the last bit how the game intended. It wasn’t too bad, took my time and died like 4 times on the ranger elites. A tip for anyone if you need more precision weapons, keep calling in the falcon and the two marines on it have pistols, so keep killing them and take the ammo, then repeat. 👍
I tried this initially. I can confirm the first half against the brutes is very doable and you can go back up to get pistol ammo like you said. But I actually ended up having to restart the run entirely because the elites behaved weirdly.
All 4 got stuck in the round room with the stairways, rather than moving in the big hallway with the jammer at the end. I think because my marine buddies followed me into that room while I was backtracking for some extra ammo right before de-activating the jammer. The elites jetpack jumped on to the balcony above, preventing me from just jetpacking past the concussion rifle elite. Also most enemy weapons had actually despawned, so I had no plasma pistol available to effectively combat the elites. After dying a bunch of times while trying various things to either fight or evade the elites, I was forced to just restart and do the banshee trick, which was a life-saver.
For anyone reading I would definitely recommend the banshee strategy even though it seems more involved. The fight going back up and out of the hospital just has certain run-ending risks like bad enemy spawns/behavior or getting stuck without enough ammo that is effective against the elite shields.

I've been breezing through laso but the hospital has been kicking my ass big time. I've spent more time inside the hospital than I have in the entirety of some previous missions. finally decided to just bite the bullet and look up a guide lol. seems a little cheesy but if it beats dying to unlucky conc shots after 25 minutes of slow crawling to and from the jammer itll nave to do lol. thank you so much

Just now hitting this level on LASO and accidentally found out a huge tip. If you’re struggling with specific side objectives, listen very closely to what dialogue you get after completing the main objective. If you save and quit fast enough you can manipulate the game into giving you different side objectives until you get the one that you want.
This rocks, esp. now that they've added subtitles

This time, just by entering the club, the music stopped and they started attacking me
Awesome video man, really helped with the side missions, was flying around forever.
I restarted a couple times to get the Club Errera one first, but after that things went pretty smoothly. Only took about 20 minutes overall. Lucky enough, I got the main objectives in the same order you did!
You don't need to quit and restart for the banshee glitch to work.... The amount of time I put in to world record attempts in reach. All you need to do is wait for those jetpacks to deload then leave the banshee and run towards the exit and you teleport out
It works but it's very inconsistent, personally I prefer Silvers method because it works more for me
I didn't follow instructions, and did the Hospital part traditionally. I had to get *extremely creative* with a plasma repeater, two plasma rifles, and hiding in cover.
It took hours.
I was *so releaved* I got a checkpoint just before fighting the concussion rifle elite in the vertical circular room.
God this mission was confusing. Thanks for making it easier!
For anyone who has trouble with the banshee trick, it is quite possible to clear the hospital by brute forcing through it. A few suggestions, it is ideal for the hospital to be the second or third objective since you'll be able to collect a lot of ammo from the first two areas. You'll want to also grab a needler to make clearing the brutes a lot easier. Finally, make sure you don't reenter the circular area before turning off the jammer since the marines could follow you there and get stuck, which will result in the jetpack elites retreating into that area and become a lot harder to pick off. There are a few plasma rifles lying around that can help you easily pepper down their shields, and you get a lot more DMR ammo in the jammer area. This takes a lot more time, but there's a lot less RNG with the banshee.

Ok so I’ve died about 100 times at that part in the hospital where you try and jet pack all the way to the top where the jackals are... literally NEVER make it that high and just get killed

@@ReachTea well on pillet of autumn id recommend grabbing a needler rifle. I was a complete idiot and didnt so i was down to a plasma pistol peppering eveything

In the hospital there is always one grunt that’s awake and it wakes them all up
In case anyone is having trouble with spawing outside after getting out of the banshee, I had a check point after seeing the cloudy sky for the first time and after I resumed the level from the menus I couldn't spawn outside so I kept trying with reloading and then I would hop out to see if I would pop outside like silver but it wouldn't so I got back in the banshee and got another look at the cloudy sky. Save and quit. Reloaded. And eventually I popped outside.

I found that actually fighting the hospital section is doable with the surplus of dmr ammo, I managed to kill all enemies, granted I did gather a ton of arms before I activated the jammer, jetpack elites aren't that scary, and turns out flying really fast in the falcon is a great way to avoid banshees

I had the same problem. I think the DJ brute spotted me and then they agro’d. So I back smacked the DJ brute first then stuck the other two brutes

Never knew that this mission was randomized. On my vanilla legendary run, the club had a lot of hunters, and I had to fight some drones at some point

The three major buildings are always the same, just in a random order. There are always brutes at the hospital, hunters in the club and drones at sinoviet. It's the two minor objectives in between that are randomly selected. The club is different here because he activates an easter egg that changes it.
At the VERY end of the video: "oh yeah dont get back in the banshee or you're stuck lol"

I just tried to go through that crack you said you could crouch through in the hospital and I couldnt
Keyboard and mouse is broken, need to use a controller to crouch jump.
This issue has been fixed. It works just fine on kb/m now.
I could get it either the moment I got to the top all the enemies spawned too so trying to get through while being spammed at is difficult, so I just found the one balcany which isnt covered and dropped onto that and tried my best to make my way up, I had to spam the plasma pistol on some jackels as I ran out of DMR on grunts and the engineer (I didnt shoot any in the banshe), but I made it pretty easy and there are two health kits up the top and some online the way.
Somehow I am getting instantly swarmed by 10 banshees as soon as I Take of from the First Main objective

banshee trick is just wow.. somehow I feel more accomplished pulling off these tricks than finishing off the level as it should be lol... sometimes they are actually harder than fighting them lol.

Dude, so I had did the switches but for some reason the music stopped as soon as I walked in, and the bartender brutes were walking around but not agro until I attacked one of them, and the DJ brute just had schizophrenia and was flying around the place getting punched around by a non existent person, so I was able to punch him to death with no troubles and get my shields back 😂
The banshee section, oh sorry it’s supposed to be a turret section at the end😅. What a nightmare. Literally get caught in 4 banshee crossfire and drain my shields immediately. I hate how they keep respawning as well. Makes this really drag on and turns it into a stealth mission

must feel nice not having 8 banshees on you at the same time
So I have a pretty weird problem I’ve not seen anyone mention. I am doing my 2nd side objective, Neutralise Elites and Engineers. However shortly before this I did the hospital as shown in the video and waited for a new falcon. This meant the hospital is swarming with banshees. I flew straight to the objective and killed the engineers leaving the elites left to kill. At this point all the 6 or 7 banshees from the hospital arrive all at once and rinse me. I can play a bit of cat and mouse by flying backwards and killing them 1 by 1, but by the time they’re all dealt with i only get a few seconds to do the objective before they all respawn at the exact same time again. So instead of having 1 or 2 banshees at a time I basically have ALL of them following my every move and I can’t get the objective done
You can land on a rooftop, blow up your falcon and get a fresh one if youd like. Another option would be to circle around the city to lure the banshees away from the elites/engineers objective. Then as you circle back to the elites/engs you can take em out before the banshees get back.

On PC calling for extraction is still 'down' but the 'down' button on the keyboard doesnt work. So once you lose your banshee/falcon you have to hijack another banshee. In my experience anyway.

It takes like 2 minutes sometimes which seems longer when you're sitting there in game. Idk what takes so long for the game to send them in.

DESPAWNING BANSHEE FIX
1. Stay in the banshee
2. Switch to banshee bomb
3. Aim at ground.
4. Shoot ground 1-2 times to knock the wing off
5. Proceed through the hospital.
6. Profit??

The elites and engineers side mission is a pain with banshees and no shields
The banshees on this mission are relentless constantly harrassing me at the end and infinitly spawning
Having a hard time. Hospital is my third spot and I don’t know how you’re able to get that high with the jet pack I can not land on that

In my run there was a crippled marine (marine lying down with magnum) and I pushed him up. For some reason the elites don't dodge or attack him. He slowly shot them all down (half hour lol)

idk if anyone has posted this warning, but i was told if you get the hospital as your 3rd objective, the banshee trick will softlock the mission.

Edit: The game seems to despawn every banshee within a couple of seconds after i’ve exited it. Anybody else having similiar problems?
How do you do any of the side objectives without getting bodied by Banshees? They are all over me like a monkey on a cupcake.
This mission is so bugged. I’m doing it coop and it gave us rescue the marines from the brutes and escort the falcon and we rescued the marines and the objective didn’t change. And the falcon is nowhere to be found
Does the banshee glitch work in co-op?
Can you elaborate on how to get the banshee when the hospital is your first objective? It doesn't work when it is third because I am using keyboard and mouse and crouch jumping does not work. And no matter how many times I do the club as the first objective, I never get hospital second. So I must do hospital first or use a different strategy.
One option is to land, kill your marine gunners, hop back in the falcon, fly above a banshee and bail mid-air so you drop onto the banshee and hijack it. Not as tough as it sounds, you can practice for a bit playing in easy .
I found that EMPing Banshees can be rather frustrating as the plasma bolt often doesn't track on them. Or they fall and I can't get to them quick enough. For me, it seemed easier to plan to do the hospital skip after I have already called for Air Evac because it starts you off on that Helo pad surrounded by open sky. The banshees will be flying around and if you walk near the edges, the bashees often will dive under the platform because there is like an overhang. It may seem like this would be difficult, but I was able to do this after only a couple tries. You'll have to work on your timing but, jump over a banshee when it gets close enough and spam your Action/Reload button. You will board it and kick him out hand he will fall to his death. I did this on Legendary and for me this worked out quicker than trying to shoot them down. I had absolutely no luck at all using a grenade launcher to knock them down.
What I don't like about halo games is that the enemy AI obviously can "sense" when my reticle is placed onto them and in the case of the banshees, they will suddenly change direction when I'm targeting them. This seems worse in Reach than other Halo games too.

Why do I keep dying during the flight segments⁉️the ship is not even smoking 😤
The falcon (or banshee) have seperated shields. So if those are dropped to 0, the vehicle explodes. But you as a player can die as well, so even if your vehicle is at 50% health, if plasma or needle bullets hit you in the cockpit, you can die without your vehicle actually exploding.
You don't need to avoid the banshee or get stuck in the hospital.
You need to get BACK into the banshee just after you activated the button......you need to walk out into the lobby about 20 feet, then get back into that banshee which you should have left in the corner next to the button. There will be an ammo box there. You need to watch this ammo box Despawn. Once it does, get OUT of the banshee and walk into the lobby again and keep going until you magically are spawned onto the roof area where you will get another Falcon.

After having to restart due to getting murdered by banshees like 10 times, finally get to the medical center as the third objective. Steal a banshee, stick it by the door, go to shoot the wings off....I have a pistol with 4 shots? Where the hell did I get a pistol from?!?

If your game gets soft locked by the banshee method, what I did is that I bailed and held down.
i couldn't find a comment and after 10 min of pressing random buttons on pc for calling an evac is up or down with the arrows
The banshee piece doesn't work for me at all. The second I hit the bottom floor, I get EMP'd then stuck 4-6 times depending on the RNG. Damn.

Several tips- 1.in the beginning you can hang a left and highjack a banshee which works out perfect if you’re first destination is the hospital 2. If you’re getting swarmed by banshees, land somewhere. Banshees rarely shoot you when you’re not flying 3.If you get the side mission to kill the engineers and elites, just restart the mission until you get a different mission :( 4. Also, I did this mission without hitting the two switches in the beginning. When I got to the club I just used my sprint and activated the jammer, ran down and switched out for the jet pack to highjack a banshee later. Silver, without your guises I wouldn’t have the patience for this stuff lol
I activate both switches but the brutes agro immediately when I walk in the building

Ok so... I died during the final turret section, while in a banshee. I saved and quit the instant i died, when I "resumed" I was greeted by the opening cutscene. In other words DONT DIE IN A BANSHEE!
I'm thinkin you may have accidentally selected "Restart Playlist." That option is right next to "Resume"

Don't know about anyone else but I sat there for at least 5 minutes waiting for the Falcon to come and it never did. I don't know if the Banshees kept destroying it or not but I just had to hijack another one, trying to do the elites with engineers side mission with a Banshee is pretty difficult too.
if you get the elite and engineers mission, just restart. its a waste of time to try and kill them
