Your camera's lighting tripped me up on the comparison haha. I have a gold Ignika and the footage's lighting made the recreation look closer in color to how mine looks in my room's lighting. Also a small correction, the Nuva shoulder armor does exist in Paul pearl gold, it came with one of the Stars.
I haven't been an awful lot into bionicle for the last 9 - 8 years, but lemme tell you the resin-casted grain looks good, i feel like it adds a bit of character.
this is a good review, i got all the same masks, plus the black avohkii, and they were just as good as shown here. was so so excited to finally get the pearl gold avohkii for my self-moc's display, and a pearl gold kraahkan specifically for my melding teridax. socketball's work is great, and so is the dude from my interactions with him :D
These are definitely very neat, and pretty convenient for people who want some of these masks on displays or in films without having to buy expensive pieces.
It would be amazing if Socketball made resin casts for parts in the canon contest masks for Artakha and Helryx. I'm not sure fast it'd sell out if he sold armor packs for the hagah
Awesome designs! I may look into getting the Ignika and Vahi, but I also need to look into what else they have. Still, I'm hoping to one day find someone making custom organic Inika masks! Hmmm, maybe I can see if these guys can replicate the head pieces? I was thinking of buying the regulars and repainting them but having a piece with red, violet or ice-blue eye-color by default would be nice!
I personally cast the ignika recently, and the hole for the axle was actually extremely annoying to reproduce and i only got one mask from the mould before the silicone due to being that thin and having resin all around it snapped off extremely easily, so it may be like that to make casting easier/more consistent
I think this is the way forward for the Bionicle community with piece rarity, high prices and how easily Bionicle parts can break....
I heard people trying resin bone pieces too but I don’t know how strong those would be
@@cahillrebel yeah, I think it will take a while before fans can produce quality pieces on a large scale
@@therealmccoy2351 yeah they need better molds and higher quality plastic so they can make proper masks without imperfections

The store doesn't seem to be selling any masks right now; I really want a pearl gold Ignika and that looks like an amazing replica
Follow his social media, he releases these in batches
@@DaRkStRiKeR98 Might be a good idea for him to have an out-of-stock or coming-soon listing, so people will see what's coming.

socketball needs to ramp up production to meet demand. C'mon boiiii
Does anyone know when socketball will have these (particularly the purl gold mask of light) back in stock
I will hopefully buy these Bionicle masks and awesome review
Wonder if Socketball would make Pearl Gold Metru armor and Pearl Gold Lhikan's Hau and Kualsi.
i can definitely tell the difference. NOT A 200$ DIFFERENCE TOUGH WHOOOOOOOOOO
Did you get any of his purple masks?
@4:28 perhaps you were using inferior disks ;p
absolutely metal
"Assuming this doesn't kill him."
Why is the store empty? I was gonna buy some right now
Is there a way to get resins cast Pearl Gold Toa Ignika masks and Mari version's
If only I could buy any.... then again I'd only want the Ignika, since that thing is stupidly expensive on Bricklink.
The link to the store is not working
these are great for the community, with how terribly expensive some of those masks can be
How do you get this lego?
Love videos
So I was right from the first sight.
gone idk why
Hi
so this "fake" lego is ok but "fake" animals are not?
there is no way those little masks cost THAT much???
You underestimate the power of the bionicle community
bruh
Everytime I try to pick one up they alway out of stock 💀😭
