Always love your videos of making things work with the manual labor - I use a Stihl FS240 with their brush knife steel blade. Works wonders! Also I used heavyweight sting too. Makes life a lot easier! Keep up the good work and good luck this year!!
Hey thanks for the input! I usually wear long sleeves and gloves at the house when weed whacking because of poison ivy and other stuff (also safety glasses). I probably should have worn all that here as well haha. Best of luck this season 🌱🦌👍🏻
I do this on one of my plots every year ! Method works great , and less and less ferns come back every season 👍🏼👍🏼
Awesome! Thanks for the input!!! Hopefully these things will disappear after a while. Best of luck this season

Hey thanks so much MoldingLegends!!! I appreciate it! Best of luck to you as well! 🌱🦌👍🏻
Look like it worked out Perfect... Good luck
Hey thanks so much! I appreciate you watching 👍🏻

My man! I appreciate you brother 👍🏻
Thanks for the information, i hope to do this to one of my food plots that has been overgrown with ferns.
Absolutely! Best of luck with your plot and best of luck this season 🌱🦌👍🏻
Great job buddy. Its looking good. We use a string trimmer also but i put a metal blade on it. Cuts thick weeds easy and even cuts down small trees
Thanks for the tip Trophy Hunter! I love that idea. That would really crush the ferns and other junk I have up here 🌱👍🏻
You could try an herbicide sprayed on the ferns.
Hey thanks for the input!!! I may get to that point at some point. I looked into using Oust… have you ever checked it out?
@@mountainbuck I have not looked at Oust. I just bought some general herbicide from Rural King and it works wonders around my house.
Good deal. Thanks for the info!!!
Are you opposed to using a herbicide or a pesticide on those ferns?
I’m not opposed to it. I’d prefer not to, but I’ve been considering using Oust on those ferns. Have you ever tried it?
Gloves are your friend my friend

It took a ton of lime to fight my fern problems. They're mostly under control, mostly. 😂
Haha nice! Those things are relentless!!! I’m thinking this late-season plant is the way to go (at least for me). Best of luck this season! 🌱🦌👍🏻
