    Drilling Engineer here at CVX (stock ticker), You should be able to do math calculations and have fundamental concepts of physics and engineering and be able to apply these concepts to the situation at hand. Don't become a plug and chug engineer as it won't benefit you, even though most end up this kind of engineer in all honesty. Also, nobody really checks your transcripts to see what you got in what class. But if your GPA is under 3.2 or even 3.0 you will draw negative attention from companies. Just my thoughts.
