just the perfect song. I love you so much, and I want to listen more new music of yours! you're pure light in this weird and dark times in the pandemic.... so much love from argentina uwu
Best birthday gift this popping up on you tube fifty three years young twenty hours ago (for you star wars fans may the fourth be with you) 😂 😂 😂 couldn't resist
Very pretty girl. Pretty voice. Some pretty poetic lyrics. But is that enough? No. It’s all a bit vanilla. The track doesn’t really go anywhere. Doesn’t build emotionally. No catchy beat. No catchy riff. No catchy lyrics. Imagine what Roy Orbison or PJ Harvey would do with this half-song. It’s too bland. Rachel needs to give more emotion, more something, more anything.
So music has to have a catchy beat or riffs to evoke emotion? Kanye would agree, I'm sure. As for the "pretty poetic lyrics," they cleverly relate to what Sermanni is experiencing emotionally and artistically. I'm thinking you must have only listened to half of the song, because apparently you missed the beautiful, dynamic crescendo as Sermanni starts singing the verses an octave higher. Composition and lyrics aside, I love P. J. Harvey and Roy Orbison, but they could never replicate the desperate emotion in Sermanni's eyes and countenance.
"coming to terms with my choices" is still something I struggle to do.
Powerful song, such as the video.
