  • On the first episode of my first video podcast series, #BackToTheStart I sit down #RajeevMasand #AnupamaChopra and #Malishka Mendonca to discuss all the madness that goes behind Celebrity Interviews. Our goof-ups, our embarrassing moments, our proud moments, celebrities we love and hate interviewing- IT’S ALL THERE! So please dekho aur khoob saara pyaar do ❤
What is the ‘Back To The Start’ About?
Back to the Start is my passion project. It’s a podcast series where I sit down with my guests and ask them to relive first experiences, learnings and mistakes. The topics could be anything celebrity interviews to personal finance, dating, heartbreak, films and so much more. It’s also a space I hope to go beyond just Bollywood. From experts to professionals, creators, actors from different mediums, musicians, EVERYONE IS WELCOME. And more than anything else, I hope that this space is one where my guests and I can truly be ourselves.

    Hey Guys,
Taking a moment to firstly thank you guys for watching and secondly, to address all the negative comments I’ve received.
Unfortunately or fortunately I’m someone who reads most comments on my content across platforms. The reason? To learn and better my skills from all the feedback- the good and the bad.
On this one though, some of you have written paragraphs and some very below the belt statements on how terribly I have hosted this podcast. And while I understand that I might have “spoken too much” or “not correctly matched the energy levels of my guests”, I don’t know if calling me names like wannabe or cringe or well, read for yourself below, is helpful at all 😞
Being on the internet and putting yourself out there is hard. And while I know that I need to have a thick skin because this is my job and I’m grateful everyday that I get to do what I love, I just wish some of you would think about the fact that there’s an actual person with feelings and emotions who’s reading your nasty comments.
To those who regularly watch my content and feel I can do better, I promise to try harder and hopefully make you guys proud.
To the rest, it’s a request- pls just be a little kind? We’re all learning.

I always watch your videos and I really like that social media concept and the way you conduct it, but very frankly I felt you did not give due importance to Anupama and Rajeev which they deserve. However, I am happy with this comment of yours and that you will take it positively. Lots of love to you Janice.

To me this felt less like an interview and more like a conversation between colleagues where each of you brought your selves and swapped stories. So the energy didn't feel off at all. It was fun and relatable and made the conversation engaging. More power to you Janice 💜

Such a lost opportunity! Clicked to hear the experiences of Anupama and Rajiv and all could hear was Janice’s screaming and interruptions. The interruptions were really painful to watch. Felt like empty vessels make the most noise and Anu and Rajiv just graciously let them speak. Painful!

    Two ironies:
    - the thumbnail says how not to interview, while this interview itself is a testimony of that.
    - Janice disagreeing with Anupama on listening to guests and rather being conversational, while Anupama’s interviews are the ones we look forward to. There is a way to get guests talking and Anu knows it.

It came across as a podcast of Janice with Janice. Rajeev and Anupama are such well spoken people and were the reason I clicked and they looked like props mostly. The 3rd guest looked like a misfit here honestly, too loud, too shallow. Fab topic, Missed opportunity.

What Janice said to Anupuma about giving pushback to Sandeep reddy is pure garbage. Exactly why these gen y/z people can only get ho ho ha has, but Anupuma can even get people as guarded as Diljit to open up. What Rejeev said was so on point! It's funny how people like Janice dont understand the basic definition of journalism. There is a difference between a debate and an interview. Also, Janice, please try talking less! Maybe just for the podcast. It spoils the entire podcast vibe.

Mr Bacchan is real Legend, bye the way Sandeep Bhanga was criticized the critics. if you guys cannot take criticism about yourself, how can you guys have right to criticize ? and Razzev Masand is a real hypocrite. He interviewed some young hero without any kind of research, not even watching their movie (karthik ariyan), recently he supports anyanna pande's struggle story against Siddhant Chaturbedi. on the other hand Anupama now stopped 'Retake' series in her channel because those videos exposing her and her worker are so uneducated about movies
