I love Lings line: " If you turned your back on something you wanted, then you don't deserve to call yourself "greed"!"
Only Ling would admonish Greed for being insufficiently avaricious. Love it.
That line sent chills down my spine because of its absolute truth.
And the voice acting was next level.
Ling, the first human to admonish a homunculus over not fitting their particular sin.
Can't wait till we reach the 2nd time it happens!
Ling vs Greed struggling for unity is among the coolest character subplots.
Oh man I love this episode: "Stay back or he's dead!" *points finger guns at him*
Doesn't matter how many times I rewatch this, the finger guns always crack me up
9:40 The conflict there is... Greed is remembering that Bradley was the one who killed his friends. That's why he went and attacked him in his home.
There was actually a gag about their similar hair in the manga ages ago, way back when Ed ran into Hohenheim at Trisha's grave, where we saw a little bit of them walking back to Pinako's together (Ed a good distance ahead of Van and accusing him of following him as they went). Hohenheim points out as they're walking that they have the same hairstyle. Ed immediately, wordlessly and furiously braids his hair at the speed of light before shooting a death glare back at Hohenheim and keeps walking.
It was a funny moment, but the animé chose to keep that scene serious, which I understand.
"Can't he fix him? He is a Philosopher's stone" Seems you forgot that the brothers swore to never use one to get their bodies back. They were literally offered one a few episodes ago and Al jumped on Ed about how they can't use it because they know what it's made of.
That "Mr ho" killed me🤣🤣
Everyone when Bido first appears in Episode 13: "Who's this creepy lizard guy?"
Everyone when Bido dies: "Aw, poor little guy."
It's a testament to Arakawa's writing that we can have such a 180° emotuonal turn-around with such a small amount of screen time.
Lol I did not care about that dude at all
@@LegitLord2000 You have a cold black heart.🖤

8:10 Many episodes ago, I commented that Greed was my favorite Homunculus, and that you should never underestimate Ling. This scene (arguably one of the finest in the entire series thanks to its incredible voice acting and somber music) is one of the biggest reasons why. If Greed were a lesser, simpler character, he might be troubled by some memories, but eventually shake them off and keep going. But that doesn't happen here, because he can't deny his nature; there's no way the literal, living embodiment of Greed could causally ignore and discard something he wants. And Ling understands that all too well, because he's very much like Greed himself. Ling could've just been a passive captive in his own body, but isn't; he's been sitting in there all this time, watching, learning what makes Greed tick. Early on, his goal might've been to wrest control of his body back. But the anger and disgust Ling shows here also shows his disappointment; he _knows_ Greed is better than this. Regardless, this confrontation had to happen eventually. And now that it's passed, it'll be very interesting to see what they do from here...
The way Greed goes berserk at the very end, that scream and visuals always gives me chills, so Awesome.
5:44 idk why but this scene always reminds me of when the Sheriff takes himself hostage in Blazing Saddles.
the greed beedo thing is always emotional to me
i know people consider The Last of Us his best performance, but if you point a gun to my head and ask me what i think Troy Baker's best moment is, i think it's this episode. Greed's scream after killing Bido gets me every time. and the fact that the betrayal hits so hard when Bido was probably one of the least likable of Dublith Crew just speaks to how talented Arakawa is as a writer. because Martel, Dolcceto, and Roa all, at least to me, definitely came off as more likable, yet Bido's death is definitely one of the most heartbreaking moments in this section of the show. i mean, thinking about it, the big hits are all pretty front loaded up to this point. Hughes in Episode 10, Nina and Alexander in Episode 4, the Gun Scene between Winry and Scar. after that theres a definite drought of emotion shattering scenes, and this one is right up there, and it cruxes on Greed betraying a character we barely know compared to Hughes.
Oh Greed for me 100%. I love Troy Baker's performance in this show.
I had a substitute teacher named Mr. Ho in middle school. You can probably guess how difficult he had it
i can't get over the way that guy casually called him mr ho lol
Finally we get to see Greedling, one of the best characters in the show.
i love how every reactor who watches this dub loses it at "mr. ho" XD
Things are about to start heating up rather quickly from here on out. It's going to shatter your expectations in the best way 👍❤️
6:42 Love the fact they had Al sit exactly the same way as his dad in this shot.
I felt so bad for Bido 😢
my favorite episode of the entire series lol
okay but
why didn't Hohenheim scold Al for taking part in burning his house like he did Ed
perks of being a younger sibling
Yo the "trumpet" at 1:07 scared the shit out of me
Where was the intro?
Yall need to watch Azumi 1 and 2. Also a movie series called Once Upon A Time In China (With Jet Li as folk hero Wing Fei Hung)
"Mr Ho" ...Man, I'd hate to go through society nowadays with that name.
Greed is very angry right now😂🤣😂
