Originally, like other trio sonatas for organ, it was an instrumental piece for an ensamble. You have just to make detached parts from the staves( I know it because I've done it and played). Often Bach recovered his previous compositions (mainly for violin) adapting them for keyboard ( see the harpsichord concertos). It's amazing!
This surpasses my previous favorite rendition by the King’s Consort. So good.
