  • @dajimejebote
    @dajimejebote 4 года назад +79

    Yup, this is THE ONE. Because, if you want to work on your repertoire and learn actual songs besides "only" improvising, this key lighting system is pretty much unbeatable. Totally effortless and pleasurable learning if you ask me. Good thing the lights can be turned off when not necessary. The price is silly and kudos to Casio. It will make this fly off the shelves. Makes you want to buy one for every family member and one for dog, but I can't imagine it will be this low for Europe.

Now days Casio have some great boards these days. I have ctx700. And I use those along with korg keyboards. I’ll buy this one tho even tho it has 48 poly. I can dig that

    I chatted with Mike Martin of Casio and told him if Stevie Wonder and Kodi Lee cannot play an instrument they should provide a separate control panel with a physical button for every feature. He became grumpy. I said it could be a separate option that you plug into USB or other input. I just went from synth to weighted keys never going back.

    Great video, I just have a few questions if you find the time, this this keyboard without any smart devices connected to it, let you learn songs from the built-in selection at one hand at a time.? So if I'm playing moon light donate I can first learn the left hand and then the right melody seperatly. Last question, can you slow down the lighting system when learning new songs, so a child can learn to keep up slowly.? Thanks for your time, will buy as a I'm as present for daughter

    Insightful review looking forward to others on what this unit has to offer. Is it possible to shut off the lighting system to save battery power? It would be great if you could demonstrate if the midi works properly in a DAW like Garageband. And for those of us not familiar with how to use Chordana that would also be useful.🌈

    Hi Jeremy, I was considering this because of the lighting up key feature. I would like to learn to play along with my daughters and thought the light up feature is a must. I'm now stuck between the cts1 and this one. The cts1 looks like a superior choice to me. Is the light up feature really going to make that much of a difference for beginners? I'm trying to define if the feature is a gimmick or if it's really worth it for beginners. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

      Bashir Hashim
      , Differences I noted are:
      - Multiple buttons, keypad, to select sounds versus a scroll wheel,
      - 77 rhythms (S250) versus 100 rhythms (265)
      - 10 types of reverb on S250, none mentioned for the 265
      Otherwise they seem pretty identical--well, except for the smaller size of the S250, of course.

    Lks 250 is a great keyboard but being the flagship it should have a pitch bend wheel like the cts200

      The CT-S300 has pitch bend wheel, not the CT-S200.

      The standard MIDI items in the apps will work. But model specific function will not.
