    Amazing looking bike Rick and Will, I really enjoyed my time working with Rick, he taught me everything about workbench management and organisation and also everything I know about wooden brake blocks. Legend.

    Fantastic progress Will and Rick. What a solid motor you have now.
    The bike looks the part, very Steve McQueen!
    Best wishes, Dean.

    The bike looks great Will, now I also know how to mount two pistons in the cylinders at the same time.

      Cheers mate! Yes definitely a fiddly thing to do but made easier with ring compressors and 2 pairs of hands 👌

    Fabulous looking build Will. What pipes are you going for?

    • @ColemanCustoms
      @ColemanCustoms  Год назад

      Thanks mate! Pipes are a suprise, no high levels but very cool none the less. They are one of my favourite parts of the build. Hopefully get them fitted next week 🤞

  • @daveco1270
    @daveco1270 Год назад +1

    Very cool. I can't wait to see it back on the road. What kind of sealer are you guys using with those pushrods?

    • @ColemanCustoms
      @ColemanCustoms  Год назад

      Cheers mate! I can't wait to have it on the road, hopefully I can run it in before summer. The sealer is loctite black silicone. Definitely leave it to dry before fitting under compression!

    Nice videos,quick question when you rebuilt the 650 did you use the original con rods ?

    i put motor on the lawn then drop the frame over, but then i don;t have useful mates like Rick.
    £'d of gone EI, just sayin', or are you going capacitor ignition?.

    • @ColemanCustoms
      @ColemanCustoms  Год назад

      Yes that's always a handy way of doing it! Battery and points with a capacitor at the ready for emergency. It's possible I'll go ei in the future but points can usually be fixed on the road. Ei not so much which put me off!

    Dear Sir(s) Love the rebuild, however, there are different push rod tube o-rings at different thicknesses , This should have been mentioned as the proper"crush" should be checked as the cylinder head is dropped on the barrels which should be 1/16 when you set the cylinder head on the barrels, Just as he pointed out the different crankshaft gears.

    • @ColemanCustoms
      @ColemanCustoms  Год назад

      Hi Mike, cheers it's coming along nicely now!
      Yes you are right about the varying thicknesses. It probably was a point worth mentioning however my videos are not "how to's" more a vlog of what were up to with the occasional tip or pointer. It's very difficult to prioritise what gets mentioned and what doesn't. I cut a lot of stuff out as there is something to be said for every part of a rebuild but if I did the episodes would be be very long and potentially quite boring. That being said I will be taking on another triumph project soon and will be sure to mention measuring the proper crush.
      Cheers, will
