    You know most things in life depend only on how you see and feel about them. Your insecurities just limit yourself. You are only hurting yourself. No one else really cares or watches that closely as everyone else is just preoccupied with their own stuff. So just your thing and start not to care so much in general.

    I struggle with this exact thing. My anxiety makes me think I will never be able to hold a good job/ career and its absolutely terrifying. No matter what I try to do i feel like i am doomed. I know real life dental hygiene school is so so so much different but getting through this last part of hygiene school is mentally and physically taxing and sometimes i feel like i should just stop. Your channel makes me feel like im not alone with these tough emotions so thank you. I know we are both very capable we just need to find ways to relax and trust ourselves during this process.

      I’m still scared that something will happen and I won’t be able to keep a job lol 😭. But yes the last semester is the toughest but I promise once you’re getting those paycheques the blood sweat and tears will be so worth it. Even if you’re like me and still cry about feeling like a crappy hygienist atleast we’re getting paid now lol ❤️❤️ I’m glad me being honest about how I’m feeling is helping others. I second guess every decision but every comment I get makes me feel like I made the right decision.

      I am considering my self a new graduate as well even though it has been a year now. I just started working like 5 months now. Everyday I feel like a crappy hygienist too. Dealing with it everyday at work but still working on it too

    I really appreciate your videos, I love watching them. Especially showing a Canadian perspective on everything dental hygiene. I know what you mean though as someone who posts videos myself it’s hard to think anyone will ever want to watch but I promise you we do!

    Wow I feel like you. This is so real.
    I’m going to take the NDHBE on 29 June 2022. I’m so afraid. One nervous in general about being successful because when I pass I actually have to get a job. Honestly that’s the part that is freaking me out. I’m a good enough. I also feel like this about social media. I love venting up there but I starting freaking out when people that I know started watching me. Why does life have to be so serious. I hate these feeling. But I understand how you feel.

    • @DajanaCoric
      @DajanaCoric  2 года назад

      Yes totally I psych myself out on everything and thank you for understanding! Social media is so weird lol also some days I’m like what am I, as someone with extreme social anxiety, doing here on RUclips 😂 Good luck on your exam!!!

    I look forward to your videos! I'm starting a RDH program in August that I'll be moving out of the area for, and one thing I'm nervous about is having to find patients. Do you have any tips? Thanks!

    • @DajanaCoric
      @DajanaCoric  2 года назад

      Hey congratulations on getting into the program!! I suggest going into fb neighbourhood groups / mom groups. Buy nothing groups if you’re willing to pay for them and post there. Do a detailed post saying how you’re a student. Explain how long appointments take and how many to expect. The more upfront you are about the process the more likely people will continue to show up for appointments. I hope that helps !!

    Hey! New sub. I enjoy your videos because my daughter is in dh school so I’m learning from you! I love ikea furniture. Maybe show your new set up when you get settled. Also, are you planning on sharing how you budget with ynab? How long have you been out of school and how long did it take to find a job? Was your program 2 or 4 years? Do you think it’s worth getting your bachelors or masters in dh? Sorry for all the questions. You just seem so real and helpful. Thanks. 🌸

      Hi!! Thank you so much for subscribing 😊 and that’s so amazing that your daughters in a dh program! I’ll definitely show my set up once I get settled haha just might take a while since I need to budget for everything. And yes I’ll definitely be showing my budget with YNAB.
      I graduated school in Jan. But had to wait until March 1st to apply for my license. I found out my board exam results like mid Feb and as soon as I did I applied for jobs. I got a job interview within the hour and then the next day got hired. Lol so it was super fast. Not sure where you are located but there is definitely no shortage in DH jobs.
      My program was 18 months long. It was accelerated so we had no long breaks. And right now I don’t think it’s worth it or really that big of a deal to get bachelors or masters. Pay is not different and really the only things that you can do with it is teach and or work independently in your own office. But that’s just me. I might change my mind later and go back to school but for now I’m happy with the education I have currently.
      I hope that helped!! I love helping people so ask away and I’ll answer anything to the best of my ability lol

      Thank you so much for the reply and info. She’s excited about the program but it’s rather expensive. 😩but hopefully should be worth it in the long run. I’m not sure how expensive your program was but I assume you think it was worth the financial investment? So you think you will plan to stay chairside for your career? I noticed you said only teaching would require more school.

    • @DajanaCoric
      @DajanaCoric  2 года назад

      Yes it was super expensive :( but the more money I make it feels so worth it. I paid more to go to a private school to finish faster if I hadn’t I would still be in a program not done and be going into more debt trying to pay my bills and stuff.
      I’m not sure I’ll go into teaching. There just isn’t many teaching opportunities here. But I’m not sure I’ll be a hygienist forever. It was always a smaller stepping stone to a bigger plan I had in mind.

    I’m sorry about your car experience! I cannot stand people like that! I hope you have a way to report him to his taxi company or even to the police. He shouldn’t have a license IMO but maybe if he gets enough complaints, it will happen!

      @@DajanaCoric would you say applying to jobs right after grad, clinics would try to low ball you? I heard Vancouver pays more than Ontario but from my experience talking to experienced RDHs, they told me to be prepared expect a lower wage after grad. They said they’ll try to give you a rate of $26/hour. What was your experience on asserting your worth in terms of compensation or did you not have these issues? Thank you 💕
