  • There are two dangerous sentences within the most dangerous spiritual book in the world that shouldn't be read before enlightenment. This verse is typically reserved for those who have gone beyond the pale of enlightenment. In this episode of The Sacred Word, I will explain an important verse from the Avadhuta Gita, a text one is ready to assimilate after enlightenment. The Avadhuta Gita is for those to absorb oneself in the presence of the Ultimate Reality after awakening.

    I am developing this theory about the body (biology) creating "Us" to pilot the body and making us think we are the body. Where the body is a sophisticated fortress, basically a "warmer and safer puddle" where our cells and microbes can hang out and do their thing, shielded from the open environment. A masterpiece of teamwork and intertwined common goals of theirs.
    They created us to be the compass of this body. Which can move around in its environment. This way it can have a centralized guiding system that can lead the body around, in a ever changing environment. Where the possibilities are endless, pre-writen instructions to guide an organism are not the most optimal. Having an ever adopting behavior as a response to the endlessly changing environment is much better. - Simulating a "Pilot" in the brain, its probably the cheapest option. Developing us as an organ, just we are a simulated one, in the digital space, run like a computer code, by this biological supercomputer, but we are not biological.
    We are the Experiencer (I suppose its the Brahman you were talking about), who is made to think, it is the body. While we think we are filling "Our" needs, we fill the body's needs in the background. This is such a professionally orchestrated illusion (Shiva?), that we totally lose ourselves in it.
    We are "summoned" in this realm of physics, biology, bias, good, bad, beginning, end. In the world of Duality.
    Our true selves, the Experiencer have nothing to do with this world in our pure form. But, we are not a pure form, because this Biology injects its inputs (5 senses, thoughts,emotions,feelings, memories, future projections) in our attention, thus altering our Experience.
    If we want to experience a more purer state of consciousness (without the noise injected by the body), we come back to the moment, from our heads projections of future or past.
    As the flame of the candle, grounded in the moment (where we live in reality). We start subtracting, the injected experiences by the body, until we arrive to the point, where we can see, that all that we see and feel, is produced by the body, and it is added to our experience. We are just who or what is receiving all this. (I suppose this would be a purer form of Brahman).
    This view of the world, for those still lost in Shiva. Can seem alien and can be interpreted as being betrayed, captured or enslaved by their bodies. This can lead to many problems, this is why this information can be dangerous for those not seeing the big picture and not knowing where to put this information. It can turn against us easily.
    I am still positive that we can still live a wonderful life, because of the small free will we got, (which can be trained to grow bigger) and the almost endless possibilities in Physics and Biology. Using our creativity and ingenuity we can come up with solutions to fulfill our bodily and our conscious goals at the same time. Or just make more free time to experience our true selves.
    I am sure i was wrong about Shiva and the Brahman, but still wanted to share this theory with you. Maybe you can give me a hint, if I knock on the right door or not in your opinion :)
    Thanks for your work, love your videos!

      Sri Ramana says to know one's true nature and be in that state. He says the actions of the gnani or one who knows, is spontaneous. They are beyond good and bad or other qualities. They see all as one and their actions are free from desire, so no Karma or the consequences from deeds. It is similar to the matrix when Neo sees the true reality and plays the game with ease.

    I Gotta say Jason nice to meet you, the biggest issue you have with sharing this wisdom is that very few people have the courage to live in this way! I due to a spinal injury was forced to live my karma, understanding this I followed my path of paramatman through fasting and esoteric practices and where did it get me …i touch nirvana and met an ascended master. Having found that this is not our reality it’s hard when you have a young family and because of love I live in this illusion for my children! I decided to become a Chikung teacher and it was only when I decided to share and become a teacher the material world opened up even more! If it was up to me I would dwell also and live off the grid! I’m currently in Thailand and have to go back to my family in Sydney but I tell you what! If it wasn’t due to love I would be in the jungle somewhere living out my days!
    All I can say is my karma is to teach this power that we have! Your videos are nicely put together! I appreciate you dear Jason! Maybe one day on this road of the material world we’ might meet! May God bless your journey! Keep up the good work ! By the way saying Shanti Shanti Shanti for those who have no peace will only cause more chaos until you actually have Shanti Shanti Shanti
    Be careful what you wish for!
    Peace be with everyone ✌🏽🙏❤🙏✌🏽

    I am amazed by your work. Love to listen to these teachings, and letting my intuition make sens of them from my own limited perspective (which i know is not the best way, but i feel that these sacred text are talking about our body and mind as technologies, trying to unlock their inner workings.
    The people from those times had no proper words to describe these mechanics, so the best they could do is to capture them like: "you are everything, but you are nothing" ).
    I would love to hear your perspective on this, and maybe take apart my theory too (few rows down in the comment section) about (maybe) what we truly are in this body and why we have been created.
    You can get messy, can discard it completely, no ego attached..

    Thanks for posting these pithy analysis's to RUclips! I have been memorizing The Avadhut Gita these last 25 years. I never got past the 16th verse (English translation) of chapter 1 but it is my goto verse if I ever got stuck in a coma I would have these words to reflect upon, maybe, lol. But the real benefit is sitting/living for decades with the opening 4, 5 verses of chapter 1. I treated it like a koan all these years. It had given me much hope over the years
    Thank you Jason for highlighting this particular verse and going into deeper insight about it! Blessings to you!

    Om namah shivaya Jason,
    Thank you for this beautiful video.
    However, I would like to say that now it may be time to put things into order concerning the Yin and yang within your mind.
    Yin , the passive energy, as you call it, could be, in fact, masculine, whereas yang, the active could be feminine....it is time to become conscious of that now. So to say then Yin is the active, and Yang the passive.

    • @JasonGregoryAuthor
      @JasonGregoryAuthor  Год назад +1

      No, that is not how yin and yang theory is in Taoism. I'm not sure what your intent is, but you shouldn't make things up about the fundamental polarities of yin and yang. If you don't understand Taoist metaphysics then it is better not to say anything about it. Sorry for being so blunt, but I will not accept misinformation about the great traditions. My advice to you is to learn more about Taoist metaphysics so that you can understand the nature of reality better.

      Om namah shivay Jason,

    Hey Jason I came across your channel recently and I find the way you explain various things to be very eloquent and well spoken and I think your doing very good work! I've had this question or query on my mind for a while now about the nature of Enlightment and I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on it. I often hear Enlightment described as seeing things as they truly are or to view things objectively. This made me think about the senses that we as humans posses. I learned that there are certain animals that posses sense we do not such as certain frogs being able to sense magnetic fields while we humans cannot perceive such things. I was wondering how that would tie into really seeing things as they truly are, since as humans we lack certain sense organs which prevents us from experiencing certain parts of reality. I'm really curious what you think about this. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what Enlightment is?

    In the realm of eternal light, I stand,
    No birth, no death, I exist, expand.
    For I am Brahman, beyond all space,
    Transcending qualities, a boundless grace.
    Neither good nor bad have I ever done,
    For I’m the pure essence, second to none.
    In this cosmic play, the world takes part,
    But I remain untouched, the heart of every heart.
    As waves of life crash upon the shore,
    I remain steady, the eternal core.
    Boundless and free, the ultimate truth,
    Infinite wisdom, eternal youth.
    No bondage can bind me, nor can I be freed,
    For I am the essence of every thought, word, and deed.
    I am the canvas where the world is cast,
    The eternal present, unbound by the past.
    So dance, my dear, in the cosmic game,
    For we are all one, and our essence the same.
    Remember, always, you are pure and divine,
    The truth of Brahman within you shines.

    I wish i discovered your channel so much earlier, tho I'm sure its no accident it took til now, especially with the often reassurance and success
    -(although being simultaneously anaconda suffocated by my shadow and/via my lack of will to focus on building myself from the necessary hard fought foundation and grounding that only comes from a rigorous and discplined practice and the discomfort & flexibility one must be open to when facing thrir weaknesses, and in my case the less exciting day in and day out repetitious structure essential to the early stages of cultivatiing and honest dedicated spiritual practice[as well as with nearly all worth-while and rewarding pursuits])- I acheived in my inflated state circa my initial "full blown spiritual awakening," possibly due to my gifts and proclivities towards the higher chakras at very early age(ex. Second sight and see spititual aptitude and insight I would identitied particular by my older family and community memebers. But this eventually led my to grow impaient with the basics, especially do to the lack of positive influences or those with much if any understanding of my path and the depth in which I saw within things others took much less seriously, as with those i could find with these similar interests being much more apted for "spiritual bypassing" which I allowed my ego to fall into the track dipping my toes into, just to prove my worth.
    But anyway with much more years experience and dark nights of the soul I couldn't image the "darkness" of early on; this discovery of your channel after much cycling through repetitive surface level teaching after surface level teching, and finding truly now guidance or source of direction in the next more indepth steps to saitate my theoretical/philosophically advanced mind as I was(and definitely still am lol) going through the slow, and gruelling process of building the foundation of my practice and the necessary grounding to allow this higher gnosis-in which I was blessed and seemingly purposed-into & channeled through a sturdy & proficient vehicle.
    Thus I find it if not a sign for preparing to take those next & more serious steps, then an amazing discovery and a welcomed resource into aiding thy diving into the wealth of knowledge hidden within the intimation vastness of the Vedas and other such dense(atleast or especially to the western student; akin to a freshly a freshly vowed monk opening the Zohar wishing to find a place he could start with some conceptually familiarity or archetypal similarities based off recignizable key words while scaling the table of contents, for example, as a map. So finding your clear, concise, aesthetically appealling, and dihestible content, is truly a eare guft to my journey at this point.
    Thank you times a million friend. And look forward to diving deeper into the fruit of your guidance and the large body of it I am yet to engagae🙏🙏🙏

But...Even though we KNOW that enlightenment or that ultimate, pure consciousness exists, that doesn't mean that we as humans have to SEARCH for it, or that we should have that goal and become enlightened. Because you said in one of your videos that WE cannot be enlightened, because that would imply not being a PERSONA/JIVA.

    Yeah the WORLD system utilizes word terms (word games) to create a system of “status and standing”. For instance: apprentice, journeyman, and master.
    Apprentice = person
    Journeyman = person
    Master = Man
    But the Atman is equal to Brahman, which implies that all is one and that standing and status is a WORLD-LY system created for the implementation of a social hierarchy.

    The beauty of Lord Dattatreya tradition is though Lord Dattatreya is considered as the SUPREME TEACHER (GURU) in Hinduism HE himself made 24 Gurus from NATURE and concluded that “From Whomsoever I picked a Divine Quality I made Him my GURU” and that’s the great quality of any Supreme Teacher. And therefore if you study the life of Shri Dattatreya he has deeply touched on all the dimensions of RITUALITY & SPIRITUALITY, enhancing from the most emotional BHAKTI paths, Tantras, Mantras to highly advance ADVAITIC Knowledge which is the Avadhoot Gita 🙏🙇🏻‍♂️

    Good content. If you get your pronunciations right, you might get even more followers from south Asia.

      My main audience is from south Asia. I'm not sure why you thought it wasn't so? As for pronunciation, that is not what is important, even though many in south India especially say my pronunciation is correct. If I was you, I would focus on the content without being drawn into semantics (a common problem on the internet where people get triggered by the smallest things). The knowledge is what is important, not who I am or my pronunciation. I've been teaching Eastern philosophy for 15 years and just because you found me recently doesn't mean I'm new to this. I would recommend reading my books if you have a chance.

    Avadhuta Gita and Ribhu Gita are the ultimate scriptures! I'm not on that level of realization.
    I don't understand the concept "Everything happens by itself".
    Did brahman create the illusion and then letting it happen by itself or
    Brahman is controlling the illusion as it happens???
    Does Brahman even interfere in our illusionary world?
    Thanks in advance for anyone's opinion on this.

    AU-M -G! I don’t know 🤷🏼‍♀️ when ENLIGHTENMENT happens to anybody…. What if mine is happening now? Should I watch this video and die from the two scary sentences 😂 maybe hearing is ok? What if my butterfingers hit the closed captioning button? Maybe close my eyes?
    …she died during enlightenment from these very two sentences. Fortunately it was a beautiful death for everyone- she burst into rainbow sprinkles and she just bought a Dyson vacuum! 😂

    It is actually a three tiered structure.The qualitiless nirguna brahman which is the only permanent reality,at the top;The Sarguna brahmans/Gods with powers who know/are aware of their true nature (nirguna brahman) and who know that everything is temporary and so unreal,come next.And then finally in the last place are all living beings who live without the awareness that they are brahman.
    You are not the body.You are not even the soul which is born again and again; You are the qualitiless brahman,which is beyond space-time and which exists in all life.
