I love all the motivations and lessons being laid down to Carmy in this episode are delivered by actual real life chefs. Such a good move. Love this show!
Agreed. It's interesting how many people hate the chefs in this episode though. It's weird to me because the main characters are chefs in this industry & they're at an industry event.
I loved this season just as much as the first two. it was different, but different doesn't necessarily mean bad. the season has a lack of progression on purpose because we are meant to feel what the characters are feeling: stuck. life isn't monochrome, it's a kaleidoscope. it's a roller coaster, and in that respect, the three seasons of this show feel so real it's scary. as someone who was in a stuck period of her life when it came out, this season hit home so much. I'm looking forward to season 4, where we hopefully get some closure and progression for these characters whom I adore. btw my favorite episode was Ice Chips, very closely followed by Napkins. thanks so much for the reactions, Michael! you remain one of my favorite reactors, and this run of The Bear was no exception. They have to shoot season 3 and 4 back to back due to schedule conflicts with the main stars who had other commitments. Perhaps that shapes the way how season 3 was written.
11:12 me too, which is why I no longer go to Outback. Three tries for a steakhouse to serve a steak cooked at the right temp and not be literally served cold is three tries too many IMO. I don't like onions, so not missing anything with the Bloomin' Onion, so not bothering. Plenty of places to eat.
yeah agreed, Season 1 and Season 2 are just incredible, i still love a lot about S3, but it's just not quite there. And i feel like some things felt a bit stretched to get a full season out of something that is really only half a season, so i'm looking forward to S4 to see how it _actually_ resolves 😄
I love this show! I didn’t think this season was weak. Just hated the story line was to be continued. I like seeing the growth and the anguish the characters have to go through so they can become great.
I love the episodes in season 3, but it was an incomplete season. Its the result of the current TV climate (low episode count, longer wait for seasons). I wouldn't be as disappointed if I got season 4 in 4 months like it used to be. Overall really liked the season, but i wanted more story progression
Ayo Edebiri is so fucking good. I had seen her in BBC stuff and the crappy gay comedy she did but I've never seen her like this. She's so forceful on the screen. She drives scenes so well and with such a soft presence. I'd try any show or movie she does based on this show.
One thing I took away from this episode is I fucking love Olivia Colman , she is just great

I believe some of the guests relating their experience at the tables are actual chefs telling their stories.

this was absolutely part of it. I think knowing what they had to work with, logistics-wise, they did a great job with the season.
