I really like how they handled the A train redemption arc and MM was the perfect character for him to relate to and meet in the middle
She didn't scheme him in because he's dumb and he would kill A-Train and break the premise of letting him live... He confirmed that 2 times this season, that he would.
I imagine she didn't clue Homelander in because of previous actions where he would just act out and kill them.

I am pretty sure what Kessler was referring to happened after Becca went missing. I am pretty sure its canon that butcher was not drinking for almost his entire marriage. Kessler is just a part of butcher that he hates. It is a very common thing for people with psychosis to have a voice that will gaslight them into believing that they are terrible people 24/7. Also considering how traumatic butchers life is I doubt its just the tumor considering how many intrusive thoughts he has had the entire show I would assume he has been hearing voices for a long time.
The way Homelander almost folded with the way he looked at Firecracker 🤣 bro was fighting a whole war in just a milisecond
It started when A-Train killed Hughie's girlfriend. Now he's saving Hughie's girlfriend. It all comes full circle.
In this season alone hughie puts down his dad and gets sa'd twice in 2 episodes. God I feel soo bad for this man. 😭

Its still funny to me that Kripke killed off Doppleganger because he didnt want the show to use "shapeshifter tropes" only to have another shapeshifter character introduced in the 4th season

Pretty sure they had Tilda in the recording room, record numerous death sounds bc Ain't no way they didn't just tape together all of them and just added pauses in-between.
a big giveaway that the shapeshifter is Starlight was that her eyes didnt light up when she finished with Hughie
Remember starlight been having mental problems with her power, not working ,
kripke really love using supernatural references in the show. that shapeshifter transformation was the same as the ones in supernatural, but more graphic.
He also said we will hate him for making that decision
idk why but that inital moment of silence from the whole team as they stare at kimiko's leg makes me laugh, especially that look on Hughie's face like "yeah, should've seen this coming" XD
I don't buy that Sage got fired. That whole thing between Sage & Homelander felt off. I feel like it's a part of the plan. We all know the real Homelander would have ripped or lazered her just for talking back.
Yeah but what good would that conversation be if it was part of the plan? The only witness was Firecracker and she's never been anything more than a pawn. I feel like Homelander knows he might need Sage in the future
It would be such a crazy plot twist if sage ended up being the shape shifter
I've got no choice but to speculate that the shape shifter can retain memories too... how else did they know about the conversation Annie and Hughie had?

One thing I didn't like is where MM said I passed out and cant be the leader no more and passed it off to butcher who passes out every other hour lmao but I guess that just made the MM with the gatlin gun more exciting wasn't expecting him to show back up.
Its a bit of a throw back to the Skins episode from Supernatural.
The best thing about that episode was the song at the end.

This shifter is not like Doppleganger from season 2. He could only change for a limited time. He says "it's like flexing a muscle."
THIS is more like a "bodysnatcher"--- she BECOMES you, down to your memories. And presumably stays that way until she changes into someone else...
...that might be why she had to touch Annie again in the bar-- even though they touched when they 1st met in the apartment. Or maybe the bar was just her way of getting rid of Annie.
Either way-- this bodysnatcher takes your memory too-- that's why she knew the combo to the safe as well.

22:20 Nope there is no winning in that mindset. Its all a matter of how much you value your life over the other. And in a situation of "its either me or you" if you value your life even a little bit by default you're always gonna say "it might as well be you." And you're entirety justified for it.

Grogu behind you is legit white. If you can’t do anything about your lighting situation, look into ways for adjust the image coming into your capture lens. Give it a an hour or two in YT and you’ll make the image look more color correct for those watching on screens bigger than iPads.
I say Sage and Vicky and Ashley and Grace are all 4 working together as the 4 horsewomen, ever since episode 1 this season I was wondering because Sage felt like she was waiting for homelander. And she knew things about him that even he didn't know, so maybe she predicted him coming to her. And the assassination attempt is only a plot to deliver evidence to bring down Vought. Cause Sage said this episode that she was giving A Train wrong intel, but she never did. Also the gas the shapeshifter was using could come from Mallory, since that's what they use for Soldier Boy.

i dont think so, shapeshifter spend time with hughie and butcher, maybe half an hour with them, its very possible they talk about alot of things , they were all drunk ,plus, its very very possible Sage is working with shapeshifter and she gave shapeshifter all the information she has about The boys.
Honestly butcher did things more horrible to cheat on his whife when he was drunk.
Well he was a drunk after he was fired from serving in the military. And Becca had to literally pull him out of his trauma & bring him back to his good side. Yes he did do shitty things when he wasn't happy

my best guess for who sage meant by "theres one person you will never defeat" is either homelander himself or butcher, perhaps she knows exactly how powerful butchers parasite is.
Maybe she could create a "cure" or give him a way to control it.
