Big up DJ Rap.. but let’s not forget Pete Parsons, the unsung hero of jungle and drum and bass.. he engineered SO MANY classics. Such a humble and lovely bloke.
You don't just hear this song, you FEEL IT! Drum and bass and all electronic music in the early rave era had soul. People who hated electronic music were incapable of hearing the soul.
Realness tho. It ain't just beeps, boops, and static. It connects to your spirit in ways that other music just can't. Electronic music is very much an art form.
I was always more of a hardcore boy than jungle. But this tune always got me every time. Of all the rave tunes from the early 90's, this one epitomises more than any other imo that sense of love and connection you'd feel as you were coming up. Just listening takes me back to that rush... ecstacy bliss!
Along with 'Drowning in Her' and Bukem's 'Music' , this has got to be one of my all time favourites, '93 was such a great year whether you were into jungle tekno, darkside, happy hardcore, gabber, even trance ('Second Rebirth', 'Tales of Mystery', 'House of House' etc.) I loved 'Spiritual Aura' so much I even made it my Windows startup sound when I cared about that stuff.
Lol. I have a Proper Talent tat on my left leg I got in maybe 1996. Went to see dj rap in SF one night, got her attention and showed it off. She was stoked.
One of the best dnb tunes ever produced. I still listen it to it regularly and my 14 year old son loves it as well. If I'm ever auditioning a prospective new piece of hi fi kit I'll use this tune as I know it so well.
Fucking hell its times like now that make you realise even more how good things were back then. I hope one day we get chance to experience that again. Either way the memories will never fade. Merry Christmas all, peace and love.
@@martinlatham4322 yeah, totally. And if I could speak for my country's rave, Greece, I would say that dnb was left down at the wrong audience. No one from those were real selectas back then, only a few. Maybe if the parties were smaller here but yet with original audience, it wouldn't blow up in our face and so damn fast. Excuse my bad English
@@AlexandrosMpothos I've said that the real ravers was the 90s raver. Peace, love and respect was felt everywhere. Yes we got off our faces to a point we made gurning a weekly event, but we respected each other and had such a laugh doing it. I feel the new generation just took the scene as an excuse to show off who can get the most wasted with no respect. No disrespect to the youngster but I have seen it first hand. That's why I retired from the scene. I wished I travelled the world including Greece to witness the culture scene, one thing I do regret
We will do good tunes like this, but It won't be mainstream because today main scream (bangers tunes now lack this slow time of introspection they had )
oh and rollers that place was awesome and did they ever build something else there? I got the last one nation/accelerated culture multi cd they did there before closing and thats what we need after the lockdown lifts a mega rave!
One of the fav tune for Randall Finn Grooverider Fabio... article bad bwoi...get on !!!! I feel... massive respect lady Rap n to all the DJs who have made us enjoying living tht awesome era of the 90's... 🙏🙏💪💪👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯🎶🎶🎶🎶🔊🔊🔊❤️❤️
Never dated, always sounds fresh just created. Maybe I’m stuck in the 90’s but that vibe, that crowd, the music, the buzz was amazing. Memories which will never come close to what we have now. Always reminiscing of days gone, quality times😜
Thanks for publishing this on RUclips DJ Rap. One day someone will do proper justice to the history of drum and bass - and this will be right up there with a few other tunes that really pushed the envelope of what was possible at the time. I remember when I bought it thinking “this is gonna be a seminal track one day”. I was right. Incredible how the music has developed from those early days
Love this, seen dj rap playing this live when I was 19. Now I'm 43 and she still looks the same, beautiful talented woman, a real credit to the old skool djs
I love this track so many memories. Dreamscape, helterskelter, world dance to name a few if me raves. 94 what a year, from queuing for hours outside the sanctuary to the huuuuggge sounds of lydd airport. They were grrrrrreeeeeeaaaat
@@lovesmusic5504 Ah yes I went to a cpl of swings at Rivermead, reading just twenty mins from home back then. They were brilliant apart from the sound having to be turned down at around 2am lol. Hey we probably, literally bumped into each other back then
@@martinlatham4322 argh !! The Rivermead!! Went to all the Swings there. Say Kevin Saunderson play there. Amazing night probably 17 at the time. Doves & Red & Yellows at the time 😁. Deffo would’ve bumped into you ! Also went to Yikes at Slough centre. Messy amazing times bro!👍🏻👊🏻

Chills down the spine. Damn this tune smashed too many dancefloors and the pirate airways . Even my neighbour to my surprise, she loves this tune .
