    The wind sings a song on harp strings. Yes, the tones you hear are JUST the wind touching the harp strings! There is nothing quite as magical and peaceful as the wind playing a harp… except the wind playing 2 harps! While filming our "Closer to the Heart" music video ( ruclips.net/video/QHUPY6yN7_4/видео.html ) the wind was quite intense and the sound of it playing the harps’ strings was unlike anything we’ve ever heard before. So, we recorded the mystical sound for you. Here is 1 hour of magical and healing harp strings in the wind, along with other nature sounds like water, waves, wind, and birds.

The wind really adds to your perfect cover of "Closer to the Heart" (Harp 😉) Ofcoures, your harp playing skills are something else and second to none 🤗🤗 Thank you x2 for this lovely way to pass an hour or two (if we have it on loop 😃) Hugs and 💙💙 x2

    One of your supporters called this video "All we are is Harps in the Wind." Consider trying this is the State of Kansas. I hope someday you ladies will be able to record the song Dust in the Wind. It fits your music so well. The word Kansas actually comes from the Kanza Native American Indians. It translates to People of the South Wind. Which is the direction the wind is blowing from most of the time.

    That is really cool. I had no idea that the wind could vibrate the strings that much. It makes a very haunting but peaceful sound. Quite relaxing.

    Reminds me a bit of the "music" I used to hear out on the prairies of West River South Dakota. Every once in a while I could hear these types of sounds when on horseback out in the middle of nowhere, miles and miles from anyone or anywhere. There was a bit more of a 'Twinkling' quality to those sounds but some of the sounds coming off the harp strings are very nearly the same as what I used to hear. Thank you for the memory of those sounds. God bless!

    I must admit I didn't play the entire video all the way through, but flicked through various sections. Some of those sounds could be used for suspenseful effects in movies, foley artists spend ages trying to get atmospheric sounds like those :)

      My comment was kinda pensive and philosophical as I'd just played the video through without pausing. The sounds in this were quite something that must've been amazing to hear in person-much stronger, more intense. I remember how cool and magical it was to hear the wind (or fae as I think you said at the time given the event) playing your harps a little at WoF in 2017. Fun memories! Oh, and the lens, is a lens of love.

    This is interesting, and, yes, it sounds very mystical. The Wind playing the Harps creates Very Subtle Sounds ( almost like a keyboard synthesizer ? ). .. I like the nature sounds in the background also. 🌷 This music sounds quite different than the Harp strings being plucked...

    I have heard this sound in other who discovered this unquie music of nature. Thy all sound different as with changes in wind velocity, the string move in totally different patterns. Nature's sound at it most basic and best. Thanks Ladies 🙂🙂🙂

    How do you tune such a harp? How do you keep it in tune?

    • @DiaJasmineFlanary
      @DiaJasmineFlanary 2 года назад +2

      There's a tool called a tuning key which you use to turn pegs at the top of each string. The strings are wrapped around the pegs and turning them makes the string produce a higher or lower sound.

    • @HarpTwinsHappenings
      @HarpTwinsHappenings  2 года назад +4

      We tune them one string at a time. We tune very frequently. Harps are notorious for going out of tune with any change in temperature, humidity, even being moved.

    Very cool. I would imagine you could dampen some of the strings to push it in the direction of a certain key - could make a very cool backing track for Native American Flute. Thanks for posting, stay safe and healthy!

    The Great Salt Lake? I see the strings moving, I think. I know that you ladies are classically trained. How about a CD of classical music performances? Maybe Hindsmith (The complete Harp Sonata), Liszt, Debussy, Hasselmans, or Fauré
