Thanks alot!! Very well explained for someone like me, who have no idea of how to take mrt haha👏 this is gonna help me so much later when i come to visit sg.
@@syaadah u mean a standard ticket? If standard ticket it can only be used for that trip because the price that you will be paying in only for that trip and the card will have no more value after you use it and only can get back deposit ... For multiple usage is EZlink card which you will need to top up at least $10 when u almost finish the value , usually it has to be at least $3 inside to travel
I wanna know how can we know the travel duration between the mrts? I have to go from changi airport all the way to bukit panjang in few weeks. How long would it take?
Although the board in each stations shows the durations, it is only for the same train line, from airport to bukit panjang you will need to change train, you can log in to www.gothere.sg and check for any specific route, and it takes more than 1 hour to reach bukit panjang exclude the walking time in the station and waiting time so I would take 2 hours for that
In most of the case , taxi is a lot more expensive, if you travel for short 5 mins drive distance perhaps the cost is similar , let's say taxi is $5 and MRT for 3 person is about $3.... however taxi fare can easily go above $10 or even $20 if you are traveling to a far place, and during peak hours and midnight or airport there's additional charges so actually is quite expensive in Singapore...
Hi, may I know what is Singapore card that you mean ? Is is the Ezlink card used for taking bus and train ? If yes it doesn't really need to be activated, once you bought it and if the value is enough you can travel anytime you want until the card is expired which is a few years later . If you mean Tourist pass it's depends on which day you are buying because if you buy a day pass means can only be used that day within the stated hours given upon purchase
Thankyou so much!! It was very well explained! I have one question on the tourist pass though, so if I purchase a 3 day tourist pass which has unlimited travel value of S$20; does this mean that if I end up using S$20 by the second day, I need to recharge it again? I understood from other youtube videos that there is no limit to the tourist passes, please clarify?
Most welcome, when it is stated unlimited it will be unlimited though ☺️ so you won't be charged per trip by the value anymore... Unless there is new changes (myself left SG in 2019 ) but it will always be stated clearly before you purchase, so not to worry, in SG you get what it is stated
Hi thanks , very helpful tip how to take the MRT from Changi airport to my Hotel ( V Hotel Lavender ) . I should get that Tourist Pass ? Stay 2 day in Singapore. For your opinion , Grab is cheaper then other taxi? 7 to 9 am is a peak time ? Thanks again for all your review. Great job.
Hi, if you plan to travel a lot you can buy tourist pass , however if you are only visiting a few places it might not worth to get as each trip cost about more than $1 only so the Ezlink card will be better and you can still keep them for future use ... Grab or Gojek may be cheaper or more expensive depends on the timing too, the price is usually shown upon booking , unless you managed to book Grab hitch which is an advance booking and could also be a share trip with other passengers it is cheaper , the peak period are usually from morning 6am to about 9.30 am and again from 6pm to midnight , there is additional surcharge for peak period starting from 25% . The most expensive is midnight as it's 50% surcharge... Besides there's a few taxi companies in Sg, the most common one charge about the same price but Mercedes fare is more expensive, and the black prestige car is even more expensive... Hope it helps 😊
@@WiceKosin Hi thanks for the information. I think I will follow your way to Lavender MRT from your video. From Changi Airport MRT and 2 stop , get off and across to EW4 Tanah Merah and get off at Lavender and walk up . The V Hotel Lavender just above the Lavender MRT Station. Thanks again . Very helpful .
Most welcome 😃 Yes ez link can be used for all mrt lines, and buses as well, the directions should go both ways but different train platforms so please check at the board for the directions carefully before boarding
Different, nets is like a bank card usually issued by bank, however mostly bank card now can be use for public transport.. while ez link card is on it's own which does not link to bank account, but you can top up the money as well and use it for certain shopping that accept that card
Sorry what do you mean? I don't quite get your those words but public transport in Singapore... they have train called MRT and LRT for a smaller one , also they have Buses and of course taxi and some grab cars etc
