It makes him very accurate, his elbow flex can alter the direction of the ball separate from the movement of his lower arm. It is the closest to what you consider as a throw but being completely legal because of the way it is achieved . It reminds me of those old great West Indian bowlers of tall height & releasing the ball so much higher than the rest, which most could not adapt soon enough to it . Basically, It is the difference from the usual that gets people out . But Bumrah has to take care of his spine & fitness to attain longevity like McGrath or Anderson.
Longevity of Anderson is not possible for Indian bowler and he also plays more cricket than these two
