Cleaning can be a form of self care. It's hard to live in a mess and feel healthy. Wishing the best to all of the women who are struggling right now. We hope for your uplifting and healing. You can do it and we are rooting for you!
We cleaned for free and organized her apartment for over 8 hours. Thanks to our cleaning team for helping us. The cost for the day was around $1,000 (if anyone wants to know what it costs to hire professional cleaners). That doesn't include our work. We couldn't have done it without them.
Becca agreed to share her story in hopes it could help others who struggle. We thank her for opening her heart and we honor her journey. May you be well and may your home be clean, clutter free and happy.

I'm here to remind people that depression and filthy homes do not necessarily go hand in hand. Not every depressed person is doomed to be this way, and not every filthy house is a result of depression.

Everyone's experience with depression is different. I can just about maintain my home when it hits, but everything else goes out the window.

I was going to say the same thing. I have depression and anxiety and am quite the opposite of this. I hate this stereotyping.
Totally agree, I have struggled with depression my whole adult life, my home is spotless, it affects my ability to take care of myself, shower, wash my hair etc. my mantra is one day at a time, that’s all I can do.❤
New subscriber here. I too have depression, but also physically disabled. I must admit that I’ve been very depressed lately due to upcoming dental surgery. And when I do clean, it is so hard that rests are required after every task. Plus I watch cleaning videos to try to motivate myself and get better at decluttering too.

In the many extreme cleaning videos I have watched I have never seen any windows opened, it's plain common sense to open them, so the very stale stuffy air is let out and the clean fresh air in.

It's not a "choice" to live like this. Nobody wants to live like this. I wish people would finally start to get it by now. It's a symptom and a result from overwhelming challenges.

I very much enjoyed this cleaning video! Great job. Very well filmed. I like the way you speed up the cleaning and show main highlights. I wish you showed a few more after shots at the end so we can enjoy the results of all your hard work. For me, I had to put it on silent because the music was stressing me. I find that most you tubers who do cleaning videos have found that subscribers prefer no music. It is SO hard to find music to please all tastes plus it really interferes with the fact that watching someone clean can be relaxing. Other than that, it was excellent!!
Thanks for the feedback! It’s hard because there’s sounds from people talking and moving things. Which is distracting and not especially interesting.
Also, it jumps around.
So it would essentially be silent and I’m not sure people would like that. I can’t clean in silence. Or be on for all of those hours, being careful what we said and making it interesting. We cleaned for at least 8 hours.

Maybe clean in silence but then do some voice overs as to what's going on. Just a suggestion. Great job!

How long did it actually take you guys to clean that house?
Hard to say because there were I think 5 of us. Diana and I weren’t cleaning the whole time. Sometimes we stopped to film. But they arrived about 9am and stayed until 6pm if I remember correctly. And we didn’t get to as much as we wanted to. We hoped to do the laundry and the patio too. We ran out of time and budget.
