It definitely looks amazing, but i dont see it improving performance because i dont think the human body can take much more punishment than even the current planes.
Terrible visibility, dihedral on the top wing is counter productive for aerobatics, two wings are inefficient, as the airflow from one effects the other.. what are they trying to improve here?
Gosh! What such a stunning radical design!!! A Kitty-hawk nose. I would love to know what the designer was thinking of a new but radical design! I wait with little patience to see and hear of the air test. I must say the aircraft does look Stunning. JB. East Surrey. UK. Good luck and fly safe chaps.
looks spectacular but with the pilot on board will the centre of gravity be far enough forwards? what is the static margin on these air race planes? Less than 10%?
next gen will more likely be canards or flying wings/ deltas, biplanes are inherently more draggy, conventional designed tailed aircraft have 2 wings in the same plane but lifting in opposite directions therefore effectively adding aerodynamic wing loading induced drag. canards have 2 wings lifting in the same direction. flying wings and deltas are more efficient because most of the surface area of the aircraft is a lifting surface which reduces parasitic drag. the frontal surface area of that biplane was way too much. after all that said i really want that design as an rc aircraft that i can buy at my local rc hobby store. sell the design to horizon hobby.
Aspect ratio determines lift coefficiency /effectiveness, multi Wing plane forms equal more aerodynamic drag detrimentally affecting performance :example biplanes do not perform better than mono planes. With a mass amount of indirect problems that correspond to other related dynamic principles of the aircraft.. .
Its got the look of a P-40 and a Pond Racer all in 1 what a beautiful aircraft
Been a professional mechanic/ pilot for over 35 years.........this design is just spectacular.

Crimson Skies!
I was about to say that.
Here, take my upvote :D

More drag, heavier, less stability than a conventional race plane... And dihedral on the main wing !!! You must be smoking something !!!
He is not smoking the good stuff.

Visibility will be an issue. Rudder appears too small
What kind of motor ?

Like a Wilga an Extra and a bi-planes love child.
I like it

That's the funny right there. Not a chance. Not even. Pilot visibility is awful. Rudder area too small. Just no. Nice CAD rendering though.
They've created the First Generation of Skywalkers X wing in our World. Lol cool!
It's the fortnite aircraft.
Biplane on Steroid. Lets fly

Can we stop calling this air "racing"? It's a time trials event.
Looks like the planes in fortnite

Awful Design... 🤮
