We made this game A long time ago, all the way back in 2008 was when this version was started, resolutions weren't the way they are now and non of the main guys on board really considered that, we did have a full screen mode which is present in one of the older demos [2008 wave ocean demo] but for whatever reason the feature was pulled. theres your answer I guess

If I had any issues it was mainly from the character gameplay and the level design around the character. But the level design for Sonic, is one of the best level design for Modern Sonic. With how open most levels are with goodies awarded for taking another route. The 2D counterpart doesn’t have this because of its limits in the 2D realm. So I’d wished that the developer(s) would’ve redesigned the levels to better fit the 2D nature, instead of recreating a 3D level.

I remember playing this when I was following the devs. They were called baddogs I think. They finished sonic levels and was going to do shadow (there was even a teaser) but they suddenly stopped and said they weren't going to continue. Shame but hey, at least we got sonic levels

Well, I think it's more or less people realizing what we had years ago and now realizing it's gone. (Multiple playable characters, good/decent story, a good Villian, and an actual multiplayer.) Mostly regret I think. You know the saying, 'you don't realize what you had until it's gone'. As for the remaking side of things, this remake existed for a lot longer than any of these current ones. (By a good maybe 4-5 years maybe?) Also, where's the harm in remaking it? If anything, it could give future and upcoming developers some experience on how to not make a game and how to make a game.
