I’ve honestly never seen a more complicated process for making oatmeal while hiking/camping. You’ve somehow managed to turn something as simple as boiling water into a whole production. I hope your wife takes care of anything more difficult than boiling water at home ;)

My Toaks siphon burner, using denatured alcohol, damaged one of the tent stake supports on the TiStand. It got too hot and bent under the weight of the pot. Once cool I could more or less straighten it. Other burners did not have the same problem, they likely run a little cooler. Maybe mine was defective as only one of the stakes was effected. Just something to keep an eye on the first time you use one.

If you use 1 minute oats. You can do away with the Cozy and just wait 2 minutes instead of 10. No need for cozy to allow everything to simmer😎

I was just looking to see if anyone out there used the TiStand with a Snow Peak Trek 700 and voila! What a great system you've put together. I have a question though - do you think that the TiStand will fit an Evernew titanium burner? If you're not familiar with the burner it's a similar overall size to the Trangia. If it does it might be a solid UL option for me when my Trangia 27-1 is overkill. I love the pot stability, ventilation and wind protect that this system seems to afford. Thanks.

yes it will fit using the 4 pieces, using 3 it won't.

I know Everclear is pricey, but the more water you add the less efficient it is and the dirtier it burns.

Very neat. What does your system weigh all up?
