    I played a lot glad beast but its difficult against the meta. Nearly impossible to get your combo done and a hard deck for going first. Had to take in a bearbrom for a better chance to survive the next turn but it seems like my opponent got every time he needed in every match.

    • @NoshuHyena

      I promise you I get either full combo or combo minus Simorgh in over half my games against meta. Going second, a very large portion of your deck needs to be turn-2 powerhouse staples like Droplet and Kaijus. With those, and proper turn sequencing with Tri-brigades, you can bait and grind through a lot of interruptions. You only need 1 successful Tri-effect to be able to combo off.
      The going-first variant is tougher to pilot because the combos are more complicated, and it's weaker going second. I can't prescribe how to play it because I specialize in the going-second version, but I encourage you to check out the Master Duel Meta official Discord server. The Gladiator Beast channel there has a lot of resources for both variants, and people willing to help.

    Damn. I love playing gladiator beast but I didn't realize you can some crazy stupid combos like this. I'm wondering what the consistency is and how often do you brick? Is it possible to skim out on some cards? I don't want to have a deck that's card for card like shown in the video. I'd like change it up a bit instead.

    • @NoshuHyena
      @NoshuHyena  2 года назад +2

      They have "good enough" consistency, but it's still their main weakness. Because you're going second with this version, you often have to hard-draw staples like Droplet/Imperm/Crossout in order to push through a ton of disruptions, and sometimes you don't see them. But because the Tri engine is consistent on its own, you always have a play, just sometimes you don't have ENOUGH play to overcome larger boards.
      The decks in the vid were just so I could get a clean demonstration (hence the Gold Moon Coins and other garbage). Unfortunately, Glads are very expensive to make. You can skim out a little bit, like cutting Rescue Cat to 1 or 2 (as long as you have the standard Tri package and Foolish Burial), and you can get away with only 1 of each Fusion/1 Panther, but a lot of your deck (in the going-second variant) will have to be UR staples. Budget replacements are fine in casual play, but aren't reliable enough to overcome the meta.
      There's also ways to build the deck with the intention of going first. You can often end on the same massive boards as this version, but it's more reliant on the coin flip. For that one, there's some differences in build; for example, 3 Rescue Cat is mandatory, you need a squeeze a Bearbrumm in the Extra, and add in weirdos like Samnite. The combos are quite different too.

    Which is the best overall for going first and second version of tri brigade. Lyrilusic, Gladiator or Scareclaw ?

    • @NoshuHyena
      @NoshuHyena  Год назад

      Hey, unfortunately I stopped playing many months ago so I'm not familiar enough with the current meta to tell you for certain. I can say, however, that Lyri-Tri have historically been good going first or second. Gladiator Beasts are powerful, but you have to cater your build to either go first OR second. They struggle if they try to be good at both.

      1 monster reborn
      1 foolish
      1 one for one
      2 TTT
      1 TriB assault
      3 tenki
      1 TriB revolt

      This is the build I used last season, but it's still a work in progress. For example, I intend to include Foolish Burial since it's a free starter, as well as other minor changes.

      @@abuhermawan707 It's not top tier, but keeps up really well with the meta (my winrate against Swordsoul during the season this vid came out was about 75%). My variant is only good going second. There are other versions of Glad Beasts that are meant to go first, though, and each variant has pros and cons.

    • @NoshuHyena
      @NoshuHyena  2 года назад

      @@abuhermawan707 Either Swordsoul or Tri-Zoo. SwSo is basically the best deck right now and plays first or second very well, but is expensive to make. Tri-Zoo does the same, and takes significantly fewer Ultra Rares to build a functional version.
      The going-first variant of Gladiator Beasts can still do okay when it loses the coin flip, but the above two decks excel at doing both.

    deck profile?

    • @NoshuHyena
      @NoshuHyena  2 года назад +2

      This is the one I used at the time of upload, but it's very outdated and I don't have a replacement:
      www.masterduelmeta.com/top-decks/diamond-i/may-2022/gladiator-beast-tri-brigade/p-duck/R07qb
      But right now there are many good, going-second builds posted by others on MDM that are up-to-date, so I encourage you to check them out! You can usually identify the going-second builds in that they're CHOCK full of cards like Droplet, Kaijus, and Lightning Storms, and don't have cards like Samnite and Bearbrumm, which are only useful in going-first combos.

    I don’t understand in the first combo how the link monster comes out if he is using tribrigade monsters as link material. Can anyone explain?

    • @NoshuHyena
      @NoshuHyena  Год назад

      It's not a true Link Summon. Dragases is being summoned through Kitt's effect, which has its own, different material cost.
