  • I walked around Takadanobaba in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo this time. Takadanobaba is a bustling area known as a student town, centered around Waseda University. It is a lively district, being both a commercial and residential area. However, this time, I focused on strolling through the area slightly away from the main streets.
There are many residences in this area, creating a very peaceful atmosphere. You can observe many houses and alleys that have been inhabited for a long time. Please be sure to watch the video until the end.

Your video is wonderful. Is the walking route random? Or plan the route?

    Another woderful video!!😄
I have a question to ask: 9:05 is this a God statue to protect the house? And is there a reason behind why the statue is wearing a hat and a bib? I'd like to educate myself and learn more about Japanese culture.🙌

      Thanks for the reply!
Sometimes there's a strange thing in Japan, there's a Jizo-san (a statue enshrining a god) near an old house!
In another video there is even a shrine near the house. I live in Japan and really strange things happen!

@@watasanpo ありがとう ございます!🌺 I'll definitely check out the other video that you shared. I'm very curious about shrines and all kinds of temples; it's such a mysterious aspect of every culture.
By the way, I read a sweet comment in Japanese on this video, filled with cherished memories. The fact that people can virtually walk the streets through your videos is truly valuable.

@@ahamprema1 I was also surprised by the Japanese comments. I feel that leaving such videos is extremely important in terms of preserving history. For example, these kinds of videos are really good for looking back on houses we lived in in the past or for reminiscing about memories. I would be very happy if these can be of any help to everyone. Thank you.

@@watasanpo I completelly agree with you!! Our world is changing so fast, so it's important to document these changes, at least using the example of the city and its neighborhoods. Have a wonderful weekend!!🤗
