- Really enjoy these little alien critters designed by @alexries3650 I used one of the concept images of the species to try my hand at animating a run cycle. Seriously go check out his art its really neat!

@@egodragonvm663 spec(ulative) zoo/spec bio (zoology and biology respectively) is where someone goes through the thought process of “what if ____ evolved the niche of _____ which would make it look like this” using scientific biology and zoology to make a fictional speculative creature and or animal for instance the birrin are a speculative species of intelligent alien made by *I forgot the name* it’s al really cool concept spec evo spec bio have made many wonderful works of art that you can find here on RUclips!

I've always liked the Birrin because most realistic speculative aliens look horrifying, I feel like carbon based alien life would sometimes be frightening to look at but plenty of them would likely just look no more disturbing than strange looking animals like jellyfish, sea slugs and octopus, and the Birrin follow that, they just look like weird animals that wouldn't give you a panic attack from seeing them in person.
I would still be a little bit intimidated, ( especially if he opens his mouth) but except that i will ask him to go eat a steak at the grill house

This is very impressive because the fact this is a fictional creature, the only reference you have to figure out how it moves is the real animals today that walk in a similar style. (The only animal I can think of that walks similar to that is a Hyena or some kind of equine or cervidae creature)
I recognized these immediately and shouted excitedly- and scared my cat, in the process. These things are so cool!

It looks so simple with the step by step but you can just tell how much time goes into it its crazy well done
It looks like it would need a reptile-like tail to support all that weight in the front of it

I was just thinking about that, I think there would have to be some kind of weight in it's rear (like extra organs or something) but with a shape like that, it's kinda hard to think of that being the case. The only other way I think this would make sense is maybe the amount of gravitational pull the planet it's on has on it may not be as strong as earth. But I'm no scientist.
