    Just a quick update:
    I wanted to let you know that you can actually project an even larger image and cover more surface area. I've used the projector quite a bit more so I thought I'd put that out there.

      Hi, will this projector be able to project an image onto a 4'x8' piece of wood?
      Can you just pull images from the computer?
      Thanks so much!

      Thanks. Would I be able, using this projector, to project a 8.5x11” image onto a 16x20” piece of paper or does it only project very small images? Thanks

      Yeah you can project larger images but only a portion at a time. But if you copy it to a computer or your phone then you can shrink the image down.

      Why not just learn to draw

      Like I said, it looks to me like they could come up with an adjustable image size since this thing has not changed since the 50’s.

  • @firstlast2034

    It looks like with today’s technology that someone could come up with something that would put out larger pictures rather than a 5 x 5” frame. This is a simple machine but only needs more diversity .

    I have found that my phone is bright enough to use without the light on. I can take a 2x3 inch picture and do an 8x12 trace to enlarge. Now with my paper copy app, I can take pictures of larger items, transfer them to small tracings, now with this thing, I can transfer to large pictures.

  • @romasimmons4801

    There are a few ways to get larger pictures. Print your picture on A 4 or A 3 paper then divide pictures roughly 4.and a half inches by 4 and a half, placing each image under the tracer and copy one image at a time until all your wall, canvas or paper has the complete image. I had problems producing colour pictures on my printer. The colour was slow to dry and smudged several days after printing. I then printed as a document in black and white. I have had a lot of enjoyment working out how to overcome problems. Yes they can be fixed. It just needs patience

    I haven`t painted in years. I am atempting to make a painting of my young son. I prepared a photo in photoshop, chopped everything up in layers. Have drawn the sketch on to the Canvas. Since i Posterized the picture, I have even made Palettes, so that I know the colors will be correct. Been two evenings now. Can`t wait to see the result :)

    It looks like the board your projecting onto is on an angle leaning backwards so no image will sit properly or focus well on that. It has to be a flat angle.

    Thanks for showing and sharing! Did they show in that instruction book that you could put it on a table with a glass top, put some kind of actual three-dimensional object underneath that, and then project that on the wall for tracing? Thanks for helping other artists learn things

    Hi! Great video! But I would like to know how much can you enlarge the image? Because I was thinking of purchasing this projector but I work on 18x24 inch canvases (which is quite large) would it work well for it?? Thank you!

    • @Elicosmic777
      @Elicosmic777  8 лет назад +1

      Yes it would work out. As long as the quality of the image your're projecting in the first place is good, and the lines are clear then you should definately be able to enlarge to that size without any blurring issues.

    You can't get the image straight because the board is not exactly perfectly angled. That's why it's not showing a straight picture just fyi. Saw that on a different video.

    Was ist skewed because the Board was nötig straight but at angle?Could you a Clip with the Board perpendicular to the Projector?

    • @Elicosmic777
      @Elicosmic777  8 лет назад +2

      Yes, the board is certainly at an angle but the wall is straight. Watch from 8:50 to see how it looks on straight flat wall.

    • @pershingone

      thanks. could you do a video ,in which you try to project a bigger image (over 12 times 12 cm). Can you just try to project the image by projecting various parts of it?
      Would it still be possible to make the projected image fit on a 90 times 60 or smaller canvas?
      (the picture on the straight wall is a big too big for my needs).
      Thanks and take care

    • @pershingone

      and if you change the size of the projected image (9:01) it looks so much less detailed. Can you basically only project the image at a preset size?

    Can you change the image size without adjusting the distance of the projector to the wall?

    • @Elicosmic777
      @Elicosmic777  8 лет назад

      +j Cal Not a great deal. For example, as you are focusing the image with your lens for clarity, the size of your projection may change, but only very slightly.
      Ultimately, for significant changes in size, you have to physically move the projector forwards or backwards.

    What about size can you make it really small?

    • @Elicosmic777
      @Elicosmic777  8 лет назад

      +Frank Dannetti Hi Frank. Thank you for watching.
      I'm afraid it isn't possible to make images really small. The lens just isn't that advanced. The focus becomes really blurry. I think that a digital projector would be more suitable for decreasing image size.

      Hi Carole,
      Apologies. This review really wasn't planned at all, and the more I use the projector, the more I notice what else I could have added by way of useful information. If there is anything specific you would like to know, please ask and I will endeavor to give you a helpful and detailed reply.
      Take Care :)
