Though I had seen Willie in concert and knew he was a very good guitarist, I never knew Leon was such an accomplished pianist!

You gotta check out his bio! Leon is maybe the most accomplished pianist in history. There is virtually nobody who recorded between 1960 & 1972 that he DID'NT work with. The Beach Boys, Phil Spector, Frank Sinatra, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Sam Cooke, Joe Cocker, The Flying Burrito Bros., The Rolling Stones, Herb Alpert, Aretha Franklin, Freddie King, Elton John, Bob Dylan, The Byrds... I could go on & on... the list is endless. Also check out "The Wrecking Crew" out-takes. Though the public may have forgotten him, the people in the music biz have been blown away by his talent for s LONG time.

I was traveling with Willie when Leon, Ambrose and the sax player joined the family for appx. 3 months. I was extremely lucky to become friends with Ambrose and hung out with quite a bit. Before Leon arrived, there were only two hippies on tour, Willie and me.......RIP Ambrose.......Also RIP Puddy. Can anyone remind me of the sax player's name?
