- The Shopify checkout page is something that not a lot of people even pay attention to because it has a lot of limitations in place. They restrict the ability for you to make any significant changes but that doesn't mean we can make some adjustments. In this video, we go over 4 things you can change on your checkout page to make your process a bit easier.

how would i be able to do this my Shopify does not have theme language button
@@brodiewilson4179 Same here - we are able to change the language in the settings-menu, of course. But you cant chose between common language settings and theme language. Even more you will not be forwarded to this setup-menu, we all can see in the clip.
What shop-plan do you use? Maybe shopify changed something, maybe this is not available for different regions, we are located outside of the US and our native language is not english.

Under my "express checkout page" clients only have the option to type in their basic information but no type of credit card info. as soon as they click " continue Shopping" it redirects them to PayPal payment option. I changed the "Or" text to " PAY WITH CREDIT CARD" but it still gives them only PayPal option.. can someone help please?

the 2023 version now has the language setting in.. settings, then checkout, near the bottom of page. super helpful, thank you so much.
The less people have to guess or question what's going on the smoother the flow. I super appreciate these subtle checkout tweaks!

Yea. I’m glad this issue was addressed. The confusion around the express checkout method could result in a loss of sales. I’ve had many people ask why that was the only payment method. Very unintuitive on shopifys part.

Update: 2023 shopify update - you can find this not in settings but insteat next to the "customize" button click the 3 Dots. Then choose "edit default theme content"

How did you placed the Delivery method in the same page of the shipping address?

Great video I made these adjustments - I really like this because they are small tweaks that go unnoticed but can do a lot for customer conversion. I haven't seen anyone else cover this topic either so well done. I did have to do these adjustments slightly differently - themes>customise>edit language. I wonder if you could do a video covering Shopify default email template. When there's an order on my store the customers gets the email confirmation but the email look very bog standard. I've been able to enhance them slightly - Settings>notifications>customise and add a logo/accent colour but it would be great to add a footer etc for that professional wow factor. Thanks!

How can I put Apple Pay button in the express checkout options. I have it ticked in payment settings - wallet. But it only shows shop pay and Google pay

You say if you don't have express checkout it's not very relevant, that makes me think you could just turn off express checkout but I can't find this anywhere. is this correct or am I missing something?

Is there a way to customize buttons on the Express Checkout section? like the order of the button or add more button like four or five express checkout options in the same section? I had been struggling to find a way to edit them.
And also the dynamic buy button on the product page, how to I change it to 'buy now with apple pay' or such instead of shop pay?

The text "Pay with credit card" doesn't do nothing, its not a code, it's sole purpose is to show customers that you accept credit card, for them to actually pay with their credit cards you would have to set up third party gateways that would allow customers to use their credit cards
Hi, I made the changes you suggested at checkout however im now showing a double header on my check out page. It only shows on a safari browser . Im not sure what happed but can you please help.

I dont have the option to change the "default language" or wording for checkout page.
Default language has changed. Its now called "Edit default theme content" -C
This is super helpful but can you please update for the current Shopify admin layout? Now when you go to "change theme language" it only allows to you check "English" or another language... I can't actually get to the written script to edit that. Do you know where they moved this to?
I believe it's the same spot they just changed the title. Instead of "Change theme language" now it reads "Edit default theme content" -C
Unless I'm missing something this tutorial no longer works. The language tab no longer connects to the other menus . . . at least not that I can find. Is there an update to this video somewhere.

1. In the Current Theme section, choose “Edit languages” in the Actions drop down.
2. Click on “Change theme language” label.

wow, I noticed this just today making other changes, and was mortified.... then looked on RUclips how to change my checkout page, and here is someone switched on to that its an issue. Thanks BitBranding. I suspect that ShoPify made this sneaky change to trick people into signing up for their Payments processor "SHOP". If you try and remove all those things, including Paypal, then Paypal isnt an option in the payments part either. So you are trapped. Everyone should complain to have this changed, as it is unacceptable. and can affect your customer coversions.
This is literally how you ruin your conversions... We tested all that 4 things on our store for a week with 600 orders done in that wee and Conversion rate was lower 1.3% than our regular week. The summary -- never trust people doing branding if they give advices on ecommerce conversion
Hmm, so you made your entire decision based off of a 7 day period? I hope it wasn't a holiday, or sales period, or bad traffic with FB ads or Google. Did you review the people who added to cart and didn't purchase? Making a blanket statement on the internet is fine, but don't mislead people into thinking that just because you had several transactions that it couldn't be blip in the radar.
