Thanks for posting this. The same fuse went on my 11year old Kenmore wouldn't have thought of that unless I saw this video. I just ordered a fuze and I going to replace it. Cheap fix. Thanks again.
Thank You for the info Had a power outage last night, the fridge had no power in the morning. The cause was this exactly this fuse Fridge Model #: Kenmore (LG) 795.79302.900 Fuse spec (silkscreened on the mother board) 115-127V : 250V/15A 220-240V : 250V/9A Attached a wire across the terminals to bypass fuse and fridge is working. Talked to my local appliance parts guy, he said 795 means LG from Sears, he can't supply just the fuse that is soldered in, so will need to get the fuse else where, probably stop by Fry's to see about fuse. Fridge is working and cooling again, so I saved my ice cream
Thank you so very much, I have no idea how much money you just saved me but that was exactly what was wrong. And as far as making it work without replacing the fuse, I knew what you were going to do and as for me I was willing to risk it. If it blows the board so what, I would have had to buy a new one anyway.
Be EXTREMELY careful doing that with pliers…they are insulated but not very well, and voltage can jump through easily. Your viewers need to know this is a risky move depending on voltage.
This helped me zero in on the exact problem with my LG LFC20760SW fridge. I used a multimeter to test continuity on both fuses and the large one is faulty. I'm glad to have been able to locate that issue so quickly! Does anyone here know, is the fuse soldered into the board? How would I replace it? I may have an appliance service guy come take care of it, but just curious to know how others have changed out this fuse.
Pls help me, my Haier Thermocool freezer didn't power on after some slight shockings. I noticed it was shocking slightly even though still cooling well. But now, the power light not coming on and freezer not working
So if I'm testing the fuses, and the compressor turns on and fan starts spinning, but stops 5 seconds later.. is is the board, or one of the components near the compresses?

Glad it helped!

Thank You for the info

Thank you for sharing this! I de-soldered the fuse holders from the board and put a jumper wire in its place.

This is exactly what went on my fridge! Thank you for posting this!
Thanks for posting this, fixed my problem with an older LG.
thanks for the vid! , I would suggest using a alligator clip patch wire, instead of needlenose, there is 110v nearby.
What about a mother board with no fuses and no power past the mother board? Where do i start ??

Hello, quick question on your kenmore where is that board located at? thank you
HOW LONG DID THE JUMPER ON THE FUSE LAST. I HAD SAME ISSUE.

What amp/volts is the fuse that was bad? This is the same one on my fridge that’s bad.
Thank you, fixed mine :)
My 3 door ge went out due to power surge u think it could be a fuse do they have fuses on the board on all models
My fridge. Is completely dead. No lights, compressor nothing. Do you think this could still be a fuse?
Yes this one was the same
@@CharlieMJr thanks I'll try it tomorrow . That sure would be a nice Christmas present.
Perfect thanks for the help!
great tip ! I will try it with my dead samsung .
What made the fuse blow in the first place?
@@terrychenault7977 🤷♂️ probably power surge
Wouldnt bypass cables work too ..instead of those nose pliers..
They will, probably the correct way, but for quick troubleshooting you can.
Just get a wired fuse holder and two alligator clips. Clip onto the wire and your board is still fuse protected.
My Amanda has light dut fan and compressor no power I jumped start the compressor it works as Lou test the fam and its irk too
Good info👌🏻
Pls help me, my Haier Thermocool freezer didn't power on after some slight shockings.

I'm sorry I don't have any experience with those

That’s your starter relay on the side of the compressor sounds like 👍
I feel like fuses are cheap. Why not just replace it?
Because it's soldered onto the board
Nice
How do I by pass the fuse
I used a piece of solid wire and twisted it real tight
No help didn’t show the video well.
